JIMIN POV

"Wait."

I cried out a solid five minutes after Jungkook left with my son.

What had I been thinking?

There was no way that the
police were going to just let
the strange man with my
son, in obviously not his own clothing, keep my him.

They'd think I was dead in a ditch or something.

"Trenton." Joon's single word meant so much more.

I just wished I knew what it
was.

"He's fine." Trenton replied as
if it was so obvious.

Except I wasn't fine.

Or maybe I was.

No.

I definitely wasn't.

"They are going to keep my
son." I mumbled, frightened
if I spoke the words out loud
that I would seal his fate.

"I needed to go with them."

"You did not." Joon's voice
had me needing to face him,
like I had no choice.

That was new.

"They will put him in a foster home." This time I could
hardly hear myself.

"And if he is a wolf again
worse, They will put him in
a lab or something."

"Please, Help me get to him."

"Help me bring him home."

Trenton handed me tea and I threw it.

Fuck that.

I didn't want to be calmed
down.

Shit, if I hadn't already had a
ton of whatever that was, I'd
be with my son already.

"Stop." Forceful.

Strong.

Kind?

What was it about Joon
that—it had to be the tea.

No more tea.

None.

Unless it came in a box with
a rose on it...from the store...sealed up.

"Jungkook is taking your son
to Luther."

"There they will do what they need to and Luther will be the one to officially return him to you, This is not our first time
at the rodeo."

"You have more random
shifter kids showing up here?"

"Whoa, my son is a wolf."

"That was real."

"Not the tea." I fell back into
my seat as the calm I'd been feeling slipped away.
