you all waited in awkward silence and since you were sitting next to mingyu and minghao you thought that introducing them to each other would make the environment a little less awkward. the only thing was, minghao to your knowledge only knew chinese and mingyu only knew korean and japanese.
"hey minghao," you whispered in chinese. he looked at you "do you know korean?"
he stayed silent for a bit and thought "well i don't know much of the language but i believe i know enough to have a conversation with someone. i just only started learning korean about five months ago."
"well, that's progression for only five months. well, this guy sitting next to me is my friend in mingyu. he goes to my school and is caring."
he nods, examining mingyu "he's from the kim mechanics isn't he?"
"yes, he is. how did you know?"
"you know my mother always making business deals. though he wasn't present at the meeting he looks almost identical to his mother."
mingyu notices you talking to minghao in this different language and is confused. what are you talking about? how did you know this stranger? then you face him and speak korean telling him about this boy. but he didn't have time to greet him as you all were called to the stage. it was weird situation especially since it looked like the host was smiling a bit too widely
the lights went bright and revealed your group and the host. there wasn't many of you, just six of you, so you kept wondering what "game" you were about to play.
"hello and welcome! we are so glad to have you all here today! how are you feeling tonight?" the restaurant roared with excitement and though the light was shining brightly in your face, you could see a small kwon soonyoung yelling and recording you. "today we'll play our most famous game the paper game!"
paper game? mingyu's eyes widen and he whispers "i've played this game before with my guests." your brow raises
the host looks at you all and asks "do you kids know how to play this game?" while everyone nods their head, minghao and you shake your head no which is ignored. the hosts divided you all in a group and luckily you stayed with the boys. they put paper next to the first in line, which was mingyu.
"how do you play this game?" you ask
"suction the paper with your mouth and put it in the bowl," he tells you.
the bowl being next to minghao "you'll have thirty seconds!"
your eyes widen. with your mouth? you translated mingyu's sentence to minghao and his reaction is the same as yours.
the host gives a countdown and you all start. mingyu suctions the paper rather fast and turns to face you. he brings his face closer to yours and grabs your face allowing you to grab the paper in your mouth. you closed your eyes as you did so from the feeling. you turn to face minghao and pause. you barely met the guy and now you're supposed almost to kiss him?
