Toby's POV

Today after school we arrived at Maya's house. Her dad showed us his mini golden statues that was in a display case in the living room on a shelf.

"Maya, please don't let these babies out of your sight." Mr. Johnson told her.

"Don't worry dad, they won't." Maya rolled her eyes.

"Make sure to polish them every five seconds!" He said.

"C'mon dad, that's not necessary!" Maya exclaimed.

"It is so necessary!" He threw up his hands. "These are my prize possessions!"

"Dad can you leave now?" Maya pointed at the door.

"Maya's right honey, we have to go right now." Maya's mom said.

They were about to walked out the door but her dad stopped. "Oh yeah and don't forget to feed them and tell them a bedtime story too!"

"Dad!" Maya blushed in embarrassment.

Alice giggled. "Bye daddy."

"Let's honey." Mrs. Johnson tugged him out the front door. "I'm sorry about him."

"It's okay Mrs. Johnson, we can handle this." I said.

After Maya's parents left we sat on the couch and watched television.

"Babe?" Josh called for Maya.

"Yeah Josh?" She looked at him.

"When did your dad get those statues?" He frowned.

She sighed. "Yesterday."

"Why is he so obsessed with them?" I wrinkled my eyebrows.

"No clue, but they're from Italy." Maya explained.

"Seriously what can possibly happen to them if they are locked in a display?" Lita folded her arms.

"My dad's paranoia always tells him, when there's a will, there's a way." Maya shook her head.

"Well I wish we could get some food, I'm hungry." Alice said.

"Same." I told Alice.

"Well, I have money to order some pizza, how does that sound?" Maya grinned.

We all agreed and she picked up the phone to order it.

After an hour, we had our pizza and was eating while watching a movie. Maya stood up wand went over to the display that contained the mini statues.

"Well I better polish these stupid things." Maya sighed.

"Careful Maya." Josh said.

"Don't worry I got it babe." She smiled at him.

"Maya I want to go to the park." Alice said.

"We can't leave the house Alice, dad wants us to stay and watch his statues remember?" Maya said.

"Ugh I hate those things!" Alice plopped on the couch.

"Trusts me Alice, you're not the only one." Maya giggled.

Maya unlocked the display and grabbed one of the statues and started polishing it. She grabbed the other one and started polishing it. But she started sniffing as a bit of dust flew in her nose, causing her to let out a huge sneeze.

"Achoo!" She exclaimed as she nearly dropped the miniature statue.

"MAYA!" Me and my friends yelled.

"It's okay I got it!" She held it tightly. "Stupid dust!"
