* Ezra's POV *

     I watched her face turn white as she ran down those stairs so fast. I could help but laugh at her...oh Davina you are the oddest person I've ever met. I followed her downstairs to see everyone sitting in a circle smiling....I've barely been able to hold myself back from wanting to hold her. She's so beautiful, I can hardly believe it. Her soul is stunning. Her very being is bright and bold and so unbelievably better than I am. She is a good beyond my grasp, one that I am not worthy of having. And yet, here she is despite that. Shes choosing me. It's a privilege to look into those eyes, to drown in the essence that is her. Because everything about her is too right and everything about me is too wrong. But I'm selfish. I take what I want, and what I want might just want me for once.

Mom! It's called privacy!
I think you look cute!
Come on sweetheart it's cute.

     I felt like the black sheep in the room...I look around the room seeing all the happy faces... This  is what a happy family looks like...? I stood in the hallway entrance and I couldn't help but stare in awe....my family never had a day like this... It always ended in a fight or some argument...

Ezra?
What?
You alright?
Yeah.
You don't have to lie...Davina poked at me and I noticed your face from over there.
I'm fine.
Look I get it...I remember how your family used to be...but think of it this way. Being with Davina someday in the future we'll marry and this will be our family too.
What makes you jump to the future?
We mated with her we don't have to be friends but we at least have to get along. Eventually they'll be our in-laws so...we should make the most of it while we're here.

Malakai nudged my side and I hated the fact that he was right. I took a deep breath and I sat on the other side of Davina who gave me a warm smile. While her father on the other hand couldn't help but give me and Malakai the stink eye...

* 2 Hours Later *

We spent the next 2 hours playing some game called monopoly up until lizzie got pissed and used magic to throw it across the room. To no one's surprise Davinas parents are taking this well? They ended up deciding on making dinner instead of ordering out. The girls made the lasagna while the boys made some garlic bread.

Alright son sprinkle some garlic salt on the meat.
Son...?
My wife has told me about your situation...I'm not happy but I'm making an effort.
I see.
If it's any consolation we didn't really discuss anything....
No!
Just no!
Dad! Be nice!
I'm...I'm being nice...let's add in the sauce.

Nice was an understatement it was like he was staring into our souls. All the dishes were done and throne into the oven. Lizzie and Josie offered to use magic but Davina and her mom convinced them that the wait was worth it.

* 1 Hour Later *

     After an hour we waited anxiously as the the house was covered in the smell of garlic and pasta...it smelled heavenly...

               Kids dinner!

     Josie and Lizzie set the table while Davinas mother took everything out of the oven. We all sat down with Davinas parents sitting on the other end on the table. I sat in the opposite side of a rectangle table keeping my distance. On the Left side was Lizzie and Josie while on the Right was Malakai and Davina who sat across from me.

               Ok. So one of you can pass the side salad and I'll cut the lasagna into pieces.

Davinas mother cut up the lasagna while lizzie passed around the salad. As for the garlic bread Davinas father passed them around. They smell amazing... the lasagna was lifted in the air by Josie making sure everyone had one. We all grabbed a fork and made an attempt to eat a piece when Davinas mother stopped us.
