Taran Iren: Gentlemen, I have urgent news for the Axis.

Spy: tell us what you got.

The Taran elucidates the intricate plans of the Valardian government to the spies throughout the night. At dawn, they depart and traverse the Norokey Mountains, returning to the Principality of Witbuse. Upon reaching a frontier city, they proceed directly to its capital, Floknethes. There, they relay their findings to the prince, who promptly informs the Axis of the intelligence gathered. Preparations are set in motion to fortify every frontier, with particular emphasis on bolstering defenses in the Duchy of Calumia. Duchess Maha receives word of the troop movements towards Calumia's frontier and issues evacuation orders for frontier cities such as Thaphipat, Shatatighes, and Furadasar. Additionally, numerous villages are evacuated and strategically destroyed by the Axis to deny resources to the advancing Valardian army.

Axis Main Hall courtroom

After the 200-day period has elapsed, it is now the summer of the cycle 779. The Axis has summoned Nano to discuss the outcome of his trial and to review his proposed solution for addressing the issue of waste in the streets. Additionally, Nano presents another plan aimed at mitigating the problem of rainwater management.

Nano presents a detailed blueprint of the proposed underground sewage system, which mirrors the layout of the city streets. The system comprises circular channels interconnected with four main straight roads oriented to the cardinal directions. These channels are positioned beneath the sidewalks rather than the heavy stone roads to reduce construction costs and prevent potential collapses.

Integrated into the system are blackwater disposal wells and public restrooms inspired by Roman designs, along with elevated pipes to mitigate odor and gas buildup. A dedicated underground sewage channel encircles the city walls, collecting blackwater from the entire sewage network. This collected water is directed to a central blackwater treatment facility located outside the city limits.

At the treatment facility, Nano's innovative hydraulic plant system filters the water, removing solid waste. The remaining water undergoes purification using water magic to ensure cleanliness. Meanwhile, the extracted solid waste is transported via a wagon system and buried in designated areas of infertile soil. This comprehensive sewage management plan addresses both waste disposal and water treatment, offering a sustainable solution to improve public health and sanitation in the city.

Nano: despite the estimated budget of 3000 to 5000 gold vinosos and the projected construction timeline of up to ten years, implementing this sewage system offers a crucial solution to the issue of blackwater in the streets. By effectively managing waste disposal, the system aims to prevent potential pandemics and uphold cleanliness throughout the city.
