Sunset is now visible when Lennox drives our car. Pinahinto ko siya sa isang mataas na bahagi ng kalsada. I smiled when I saw the golden clouds now occupying the whole scenery. The beauty of embers are beautifully decorated in a mesmerizing view.

Sumandal ako sa hood ng sasakyan habang malayang pinapanood ang tanawin. Then, beside me is the love of my life, Lennox.

I slowly reach his hand so I can hold it. Lumapit siya sa akin at hinapit ako sa kaniya. He positioned himself behind me and hugged me backwards. He rested his face on my neck as we both looked at the beauty in front of us.

"If something happened, I want you to always remember that I always choose you no matter what." He said all of a sudden.

Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya.

"Uhm?"

"Nothing." And he pressed himself on my neck more and sighed heavily.

I smiled but his statement made me wonder about it. Just like how I want to protect him, I know he is also protecting me from everything. Kumirot ang puso ko habang yakap siya. I felt how heavy his hug was.

I let him rest while hugging me. I let him. Kung ako'y natutuliro sa nangyayari sa amin. May pakiramdam akong ganoon din siya. May pakiramdam ako na alam na niya ngunit hindi niya lang maamin sa akin ang bumabagabag sa isip niya.

"After your parents arrived here. I will resigned as your bodyguard." Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya. Hinarap ko siya at lito sa sinasabi niya.

"Why?" Seryosong tanong ko.

His eyes slowly lifted at me. Kitang-kita ko ang sakit sa mga mata niya dahil sa desisyon niya.

"I need to do something." He said. Salubong ang titig ko sa kaniya. Parang matagal na niyang pinag-isipan lahat ng ito. The way his eyes look at me, alam kong seryoso siya sa sinasabi niya.

"You need to do something? Like?" Tanong ko. I am sure of what his gonna do. Alam kong inform na si Lennox sa mga threat na natatanggap niya. Alam ko ring alam na niyang may sumusunod sa bawat kilos naming dalawa. He's in militar after all.

And for sure Tito's agency is informed about my safety because of him. Hindi pwedeng hindi pa siya nagpapatatawag about doon.

As much as I want to stop him from what he wants. Naging daan din ito para maging malaya ang galaw ko sa pag-investigate ng lahat.

"I need to go back to Masbate, I need to talk to my father." Sagot niya. I tried to read his mind and I saw nothing but positiveness and assurance.

I sighed heavily and nodded. May nilabas siya sa kaniyang likod at malamyos na ngumiti.

"I will give it back to you. I know how capable you are in protecting yourself. But I still want you to be vigilant while I am away." bilin niya sa akin. My eyes looks sad while listening and looking at him. And then he smiled and assured me. Niyakap niya ako ng mahigpit habang patuloy na nililipad ng hangin ang aking buhok.

He loved me, I knew and felt it. And I didn't doubt any of it, he's my Lennox, my only Lennox. Kaya, if he really wants to do this to  protect me, then I will let him. Po-protektahan ko 'din siya sa paraang alam ko.

"After I settled all of that. I will make sure to face your parents and introduce myself as your boyfriend." He smiled seductively while fixing the strand of my hair.

He breathed heavily while I am lovingly looking at him. "If you missed me, just..." I lean on his ear to whisper. "...visit me in my room." I said seductively. His eyes flickered and laugh.
