I got this idea while doing a task where you take a photo of himeko 😅
March and Dan Heng were walking together in the Astral Express, chatting about their adventure from Belebog. With things calmed down, now the team was just doing some tasks and certain requests from their friends at the Herta Station.
"Huh? Hey, Dan Heng. Look."
March stopped in her skipping, pointing at something ahead. The stoic young man directed his eyes to where she was pointing. Caelus was leaning against a wall, staring down at something in his hand.
"It's just Caelus, March. So what?" The jet black hair man said nonchalantly, looking back at his energetic pink hair friend. She looked at him a bit annoyed, rolling her colorful purple blue eyes.
"Look at his hand." She pointed again, motioning her head to look. Her friend looked back and noticed a small square shape paper in his hands. Glancing at his friend, a fond smile was on Caelus's features.
That peaked Dan Heng's curiosity as his eyes narrowed at the paper, trying to make it out. Tilting his head to the left, he could make out a white frame with a black box from the front. A photo.
"He is just looking at a photo, March. What's there to be so hyped about?" He inquired his bubbly friend, looking back at her. When she turned with that cheeky grin of hers and a twinkle of mischief in her eyes, he already wished he didn't ask.
"It just so happens that not too long ago, our boy Caelus here did a request for Pamela to get a photo of Himeko." She explained to him, pointing back at their friend who was in a world of his own.
"That was a request?" Dan Heng questioned, raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Well, it wasn't a major part of the task that he was doing, but to be quick, Caelus had to get the photo for Pamela in order for her to give some information related to the task." She explained to him, getting a weird look from her friend. "Don't ask why. He and I both found it creepy, but we're not gonna pry any further about it." She made it clear, preferring not to know.
"It would seem that either Caelus has the original photo or he may have a copy of it." Dan Heng commented, but that didn't matter to March much. His eyes glanced back at her and saw that mishevious of grin on her cute face. Sighing, he narrowed his eyes at her and decided to ask his pink haired friend her intentions. "March. What are you thinking of?" He questioned her as the girl didn't answer and already made her way over to the trailblazer.
To Caelus, it appeared that she was just walking by, so his yellow eyes glanced up briefly at her before going back down to the picture. However, that was a mistake because her eyes twinkle with mischief, and before he could glance up, she snatched the photo from his hands.
"Huh?! March! What the heck?!"
March waved the photo at him, taunting the trailblazer, and when his hands lunged for it, she side stepped away from him, causing him to fall. "March! Give me back that photo!" He demanded, annoyed, getting back up and chasing her.
"Hey, Caelus! Why do you have a photo of Himeko? Do you like her?" March teased him, waving the photo around as he failed to swipe it from her. "No, March! Himeko is just a friend! I can't have photos of my friends?!"
He expressed with a flushed face, the two running around Dan Heng in circles with both giggling and yelling. The man sighed in disappointment at how his friends were acting so childish.
"You both are acting like children." He put forth, causing them both to stop running and get annoyed. "No, we're not!" They both insisted loudly, in his ears, causing him to wince from the sudden volume.
"What's with all the noise here?"
The trio turned their heads with Caelus having his heart drop to see Himeko approaching them with a disapproving look. "Pom-Pom is complaining about it being noisy in here. What's going on?" She inquired, narrowing her eyes at them all. While normally the sweet mom figure among the crew, they shrunk back from her glare that would burn right through them if they could.
"Himeko! Hi!" Caelus exclaimed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck as he and March straightened their backs. His hand tried to reach for the photo as his friend kept it out of his reach as much as possible.
"They were fighting over this."
Nonchalantly, Dan Heng plucked the photo with ease from March with his fingers and held it up for Himeko to see. With the front of the photo showing. "Dan Heng! No!" Caelus hissed, reaching to take it, but then they heard someone clear their friend, and they turned back to the red-headed navigator.
"A photo? That's it? That's what all this squabbling is about?" Himeko raised an eyebrow in confusion, taking the photo in her, and that's when she saw it. Her eyes blinked a few times, not expecting to see a photo of herself.
Caelus stiffened nervously, biting his lower lip and feeling his hands get sweaty. "Caelus. Isn't this the photo you were supposed to give to Pamela?" She inquired to him, glancing her red eyes to him.
"Well...um... yeah." He responded, his voice high pitch all of a sudden without his knowing. He side glanced March, glaring at her angrily as she smiled nervously, looking away to avoid his anger. Dan Heng just stayed quiet, preferring to stay out of this.
After a while of staring at the photo, Himeko let a small smile show and held the photo out to Caelus. "Alright, then." She said, making him look at her bewildered as he took the photo from her hand.
"Don't worry. I'm sure Pamela won't mind that you have the photo." She assured him before taking her leave, smiling in amusement as her friends watched her dumbfounded. "Well....that went well. That could've been a lot worse." March piped up with Dan Heng sighing while Caelus glared at her. "March! You got five seconds to run!" He snarled at her, causing the girl to squeak and running with the trailblazer hot on her tail. Dan Heng just watched, shaking his head at his two childish friends before leaving the room.
