Whispers in the Attic
BTS had just moved into their new house, a charming two-story building with three bedrooms, an attic bedroom, three bathrooms, and two walk-in closets. Situated a little away from the bustling, crowded areas, it promised a peaceful environment for the group to unwind and work on their music. The company's real estate agent had found the house suspiciously cheap, but they hadn't thought much of it. Jin and Suga decided to take the spacious attic bedroom, while Jungkook claimed a single room for himself.
The first night in the new house, everything seemed perfect. The moonlight seeped through the windows, casting a serene glow over the rooms. They were all excited about their new home, unaware of what lay ahead.
A week later, Suga returned late from a studio session. The house was dark and quiet as he tiptoed up the stairs, careful not to wake the others. As he approached the attic bedroom, he felt a chill run down his spine. He brushed it off as fatigue and entered the room. However, as he was about to drift off to sleep, he heard a faint whisper.
"Suga... Suga..."
He sat up, heart pounding, but the room was empty. Shaking his head, he convinced himself it was just his imagination and went back to sleep.
The next morning, at breakfast, Suga casually mentioned his experience to Jin, who saw an opportunity for a prank. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he leaned in and whispered, "You know, I heard from the neighbors that this place is haunted."
Suga laughed it off, but the seed of doubt was planted.
Over the next few days, the rest of the members started to experience strange occurrences. J-Hope, who was already easily spooked, was the next to encounter the ghost. He was brushing his teeth one night when he saw a shadow pass behind him in the mirror. He spun around, but no one was there. His heart raced as he quickly finished up and ran to his room, slamming the door shut.
The following morning, J-Hope shared his experience at breakfast. His eyes were wide with fear as he recounted the shadow he had seen. "I swear, it was right behind me," he insisted, his voice trembling. The other members exchanged uneasy glances but tried to reassure him.
"Maybe it was just the light playing tricks," RM suggested, though he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
Jimin was the next to experience something strange. It was late, and he had stayed up watching TV in the living room. Feeling a bit peckish, he headed to the kitchen for a midnight snack. As he rummaged through the fridge, he heard soft footsteps behind him. Turning around, he saw nothing but an empty hallway. He shrugged it off, attributing it to the old house's creaks and groans.
Just as he was about to take a bite of his sandwich, he heard it again, this time clearer and closer. The hair on the back of his neck stood up as he slowly turned around. The hallway was still empty, but the footsteps continued, echoing faintly.
Jimin swallowed hard and quickly finished his snack, then practically sprinted back to his room. He closed the door behind him, leaning against it as he tried to calm his racing heart. The next morning, he recounted the incident to the others, who listened with growing concern.
RM, ever the rational leader, tried to keep everyone calm, attributing the strange occurrences to the house's age and quirks. But one night, while he was reading in his room, he experienced something he couldn't explain away.
He was engrossed in a book when the lights in his room began to flicker. At first, he thought it was just a power fluctuation, but then he heard a soft giggle. He paused, looking around the room. The giggle grew louder, and the lights flickered more violently before going out completely, plunging the room into darkness.
RM's heart pounded in his chest as he fumbled for his phone to use the flashlight. When he finally managed to turn it on, he saw nothing out of the ordinary. But the eerie feeling lingered, and the giggle echoed in his mind.
The next morning, RM shared his experience with the group. They were all on edge now, the atmosphere in the house tense and uneasy. Despite their fear, curiosity got the better of them, and they decided to set up a night-watch schedule, hoping to uncover the truth.
V and Jungkook, thrilled by the idea of a haunted house, eagerly volunteered to take the first watch. Armed with flashlights and a sense of adventure, they roamed the house at night, hoping to catch a glimpse of the ghost.
For weeks, the strange happenings continued. Things moved on their own, doors creaked open and shut, and whispers filled the night air. Each member took turns on watch, experiencing their own eerie encounters. Despite their growing fear, they remained determined to find out what was haunting their home.
One night, as V and Jungkook were on their watch, they heard a rustling noise coming from the attic. Flashlights in hand, they tiptoed up the stairs. The noise grew louder, and their hearts pounded in their chests. When they reached the attic, they found Jin and Suga already there, looking as puzzled as they were.
"What is it?" Jungkook whispered.
"Listen," Suga said, pointing towards the corner of the attic. The rustling grew louder, followed by soft whimpering sounds. Gathering their courage, they approached the source of the noise.
To their surprise, they found a small family of foxes huddled together, looking as frightened as the boys felt. The mother fox had taken refuge in the attic, seeking warmth and safety for her young ones.
Relief washed over them as they realized the "ghost" was nothing but a frightened animal family. They carefully guided the foxes out of the house, making sure they found a safe place nearby.
As they gathered in the living room afterward, laughter filled the air. The tension of the past weeks melted away, replaced by a sense of camaraderie and relief. They had faced their fears together and come out stronger.
From that day on, the house was no longer a place of eerie whispers and shadows. It became their home, filled with music, laughter, and the bond they shared. And whenever someone mentioned ghosts, they couldn't help but smile, remembering the night they faced the "whispers in the attic."
