Suga had always been cautious. Fame had its price, and he understood that better than most. The saesangs, the obsessive fans, were a constant threat. But recently, he had noticed one particular fan who seemed to be everywhere he went, always just a little too close for comfort.
It started subtly enough. A few months ago, during a fan meet, he noticed her in the crowd. Her eyes locked onto his, and she held his gaze longer than anyone else. At the time, he brushed it off as just another dedicated fan. But then she started showing up at their hotel, their practice studio, and even outside their dorm.
She always managed to stay hidden in the shadows, watching him with an intensity that made him uneasy. There were moments when he thought he saw her in places she shouldn't have been—behind the security lines at airports, in the lobby of buildings they were visiting, and even outside restaurants where they dined.
One evening, after a long day of rehearsals, Suga returned to the dorm to find a letter slipped under the door. It was from her. The contents were disturbing. She detailed his daily routine, knew intimate details about his life that no fan should know, and spoke of her undying love for him. She insisted that they were destined to be together.
He showed the letter to the management, who assured him they would increase security measures. They tightened protocols, but despite their efforts, she continued to evade them. There were photos slipped into his bag, messages left on his social media, and even a voicemail on his personal phone. The fear began to creep into his daily life, making him constantly look over his shoulder.
One night, as he sat in the studio alone, working on a new track, he heard a faint tapping on the window. He ignored it at first, thinking it was just his imagination. But the tapping persisted. He looked up and saw her face pressed against the glass, a look of desperation in her eyes. She mouthed something he couldn't hear and then disappeared into the night before security could reach her.
The incidents escalated from there. She became bolder, more aggressive. There were times when he felt her presence even in the safety of their dorm, like a ghost haunting his every move. The other members grew increasingly concerned, urging him to always have someone with him, but he didn't want to burden them with his fears.
Tonight, he thought he could slip out unnoticed, just for a brief moment of solitude. The streets were quiet, and the fresh air was a welcome change from the stifling atmosphere of the studio. But as he walked, the familiar sense of being watched returned. He quickened his pace, hoping to shake off the feeling.
He turned a corner, and there she was, standing in the middle of the alley, waiting for him. His heart pounded in his chest as he realized there was no escape. She stepped forward, her eyes wild with a mix of love and madness.
"Oppa, you can't keep running from me," she said, her voice trembling. "We belong together. I know everything about you. I've watched you for so long."
Fear gripped him as she pulled out a knife, her hands shaking. "If I can't have you, no one can," she hissed.
Suga tried to stay calm. "Listen, just put the knife down. We can talk about this."
She shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "No more talking. I'm done waiting."
Suga's mind raced. He needed to distract her, to find a way to escape. "Okay, okay," he said, raising his hands in surrender. "Let's talk. Just put the knife down, and we can talk."
For a moment, she hesitated, her grip on the knife loosening. Seizing the opportunity, Suga shoved her away and ran. He didn't stop until he burst out of the alley and into the street, yelling for help.
The police arrived quickly, and she was taken into custody. As they led her away, she screamed his name, her voice echoing in the night. Suga felt a mixture of relief and lingering fear. He called his manager, who rushed to bring him back to the dorm.
Back at the dorm, Suga sat on the couch, his hands still trembling. The incident played on a loop in his mind—the woman's wild eyes, the knife glinting in the dim light, her desperate voice echoing in his ears. He tried to steady his breathing, but the adrenaline was still coursing through his veins.
The members gathered around him, their faces etched with concern. Jin handed him a glass of water, his usually cheerful demeanor replaced by a serious expression. "Yoongi, drink this," he urged gently.
Suga took the glass with a shaky hand, spilling a little as he brought it to his lips. The water was cool and refreshing, but it did little to calm his nerves. "Thanks," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Namjoon asked, sitting next to him and placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Suga nodded, but the truth was far from it. He felt exposed, vulnerable in a way he hadn't felt in years. "I just... I can't believe how close she got. She knew so much about me, about us."
Hoseok knelt in front of him, his eyes full of empathy. "It's not your fault, Yoongi. She's been obsessed for months. We've all noticed her."
"Yeah, but why didn't I do something sooner?" Suga's voice cracked with frustration and guilt. "I thought I could handle it, that it would just go away. But it didn't."
Jimin, sitting on the arm of the couch, spoke up softly. "None of us realized how serious it was. We should've been more careful."
The room fell silent, the weight of the situation pressing down on them. They had always known the risks that came with their fame, but this incident had brought those dangers into sharp focus.
Taehyung broke the silence, his voice firm. "We need to stick together from now on. No more going out alone, no more taking chances."
"Agreed," Jungkook added, his usually bright eyes dark with concern. "We need to protect each other."
Suga looked around at his bandmates, their solidarity giving him a sense of comfort. But the fear still lingered. He had always prided himself on his ability to stay calm under pressure, to keep his emotions in check. But tonight had shaken him to his core.
As the hours passed, the members refused to leave his side. They talked about anything and everything, trying to distract him from the night's events. Slowly, the tension in his body began to ease, the presence of his friends a soothing balm to his frayed nerves.
Later, when he finally went to his room, he found it hard to sleep. Every creak of the floorboards, every rustle of the wind outside made him jump. He lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, his mind racing. He couldn't shake the image of the woman, the terror he felt when she had cornered him.
In the early hours of the morning, there was a soft knock on his door. It was Jin, holding a cup of tea. "I thought you might need this," he said with a small smile.
Suga sat up, grateful for the gesture. "Thanks, hyung."
Jin sat on the edge of the bed, handing him the cup. "You don't have to go through this alone, Yoongi. We're all here for you."
Suga nodded, taking a sip of the tea. The warmth spread through him, easing some of the cold fear that had settled in his bones. "I know. It's just... hard to shake off."
"We'll get through this," Jin said firmly. "Together."
As Jin left the room, Suga felt a flicker of hope. He knew it would take time to fully recover from the incident, to feel safe again. But with his friends by his side, he felt a little stronger, a little more ready to face the challenges ahead.
In the days that followed, the security around them was tightened, and the management took every precaution to ensure their safety. Suga gradually found his footing again, though the shadows of that night still lingered in the back of his mind. He focused on his music, channeling his emotions into his work, finding solace in the rhythms and melodies.
Through it all, the bond with his bandmates grew even stronger. They were his rock, his family, and together, they faced the challenges of fame with renewed determination. Suga knew that as long as they had each other, they could overcome anything, even the darkest moments.
