When Stark woke up it was already the next morning, she had finally slept without having a nightmare, she was still very weak and ached all over, she felt so much pain in her neck, she felt like it was on fire, she decided to put her hand on it and feel it but she only felt the bandages, she looked around the room, it was quiet and she was alone, she could not stand up, she was much too weak. She was very thirsty so she look around for a water bottle and a glass, she saw a glass filled with water, she really wanted to reach for it but it was too far away, her throat was so dry, she tried to move in the bed but it was just too painful, she started to moan from the pain, just as she moaned an elder lady walked in and greeted her, she had no idea who she was, she told her she was there to look after her, Stark looked at the glass water and asked in a low voice for water, the elderly lady helped her, she tried first giving Stark the glass but it seemed to heavy for her to hold up by herself so she held it while gently putting the glass to her lips and she carefully gave her enough water to drink. Stark asked if Asa was in the house but she was not, the woman told her she had gone to village to fetch a few things she needed to heal her better, Stark just nodded and did not know what to do, there was nothing for her to do, still she was just too weak to do much of anything, still she felt a little bored but did not want to convey that to the older woman. The woman sat down, carefully watching Stark, she smiled at her and told her she was glad she finally woke up, she said that she had been so worried about her, now all she had to do was rest and get her strength up, Stark just nodded, it was hard to speak, her throat felt so soar, she just sat in the bed wondering what to do, the kind elderly lady decided to ask if she would like to hear a story she used to tell her cubs when she was young, Stark nodded but felt her words were a little strange, did she mean her children, dogs or bear cubs, still she did not say anything, she was scared to, she had no idea where she was or why she was there, she only trusted Asa and hoped Asa would come soon to tell her more about herself.
Asa had left earlier that morning to see the alphas, she had not really decided what she would tell them or how to move forward, she did not know what would be the right move, even though Stark had lost her memory it could come back, today, tomorrow, a year from now or even thirty years from now, there was no way to know what would happen. She knew it would be best for the alphas if she never got her memory again since they could start again and try to start a family again, still Asa did not think it would work, those alphas where way to possessive towards each other and towards her, they would be jelous of each other and jelous of her, she did not think their relationship could ever work but she knew they would never be able to let her go even if they said they would. She strolled leisurely while thinking what was the best thing to do, if she would help Stark escape them she would gain two very powerful new enemies, it was not worth it and Stark would not even be able to escape for long since they would eventually find her even if she would stay on the move for the rest of her life, the bond was just that strong, they would dream where she was and dream where she wanted to go, so she decided it was not worth it helping her escape but helping them bond and become a family was just as bad of an idea, it would not work for a long time at least, since the alphas volatile behaviour would crawl to the surface very soon since they could not control their possessiveness, it was rooted deep within them to cherish and protect their mate and they would never share their mate with anyone else, a trio was one too many in a romantic relationship with alphas. Asa was sure Stark would come to hate them again, how she wished she could see her future, what was the best thing to do, she a very old witch still had no idea what to do.
She was finally at their office, she had still not made up her mind what was the best way to choose so she decided to follow her instinct and decide what to do as she met them. Both Erik and Stone had been waiting impatiently after the witch to come with news about Stark. They had both hoped she was pregnant but she was not apparently, still since she was getting better they might still have a chance to have a cub of their own. They craved to see her, hold her and sooth her but they could not, they were bound by the promise they made, so they did not see her but they had stalked her and watched her through her window, sleeping, all she did was sleep, she was incredibly pale and so sickly, their wolves were in agony about their mate, they wanted nothing more than to be by her side, nursing her back to health but they did not understand how complicated this all was, their life since they dreamt of her had been a mess, they were second guessing themselves and each other, still their love for each other never faltered, since Stark got sick it had brought them even closer, they soothed each other and calmed each other down, they were sad, their wolves were sad, the town was sad, no one knew what to do or how to solve the problem, the two alphas relied heavily on the witch, they were confident she would know how to solve this dilemma for they had made a mess of everything and they really wanted to clean everything up and start again.
Asa knocked at their door and asked if she could come in, they both answered at the same time to come inside, Asa took in a deep breath and walked into the unknown. They were seated on the sofa and conveyed with their eyes for her to sit in the seat against them. She sat down, still not knowing what was the best solution but she was here now and something needed to be done. She told them that Stark was still very sick and might be bed bound for months, her marking was still not healing and it was still festering, she told them she had lost her memory but it could come back at any minute or never but she decided to stress that she would most likely get it back, sooner rather than later, she felt like this would take their chance on trying to deceive her since she was confident their idea would never work, it was best to sweep it off the floor. She told them it would be best to not bother her while she was recovering, she needed time to heal her body first before trying to heal her mind. Erik and Stone said nothing but nodded, it seemed they would comply with her suggestions. She told them after some time they could be introduced to them slowly since they would need more time to find the best way to interact with her and bond with her as mates, they stayed silent and kept nodding, thankful that there was some kind of solution of their problem, Asa said she would stay with her until she was strong enough to fend on her own and both of them found that very agreeable, she told them she would need a big payment for this for this was not a small favour they had asked of her. She had used a lot of her magic and would need to continue doing so, she wanted wares, talismans, gold and favours when she needed help. This was no small fee, doing favour for another higher beings was always tricky since they could ask horrible things of them or a very steep favour that would result in many wolves dying, still they had no other choice than to accept. Asa was very pleased, she had helped Stark while helping herself, it was good to have favours when she would need help, since they had come to an agreement Asa stood up and told them she needed to shop for things to make potions, her magic was not enough to help with the mark, she had to try potions embellished in magic, nothing else would probably work and she was not even sure if she could heal her mark but she knew if she did not she would die, she was a little excited to see what future and fate Stark would hold.
