Flashbacks to the days before Minji knew the truth about herself, her family, the village, and Kim Dabeom.
"Hanni's looking rather gloomy today," she overheard some of Hanni's so-called 'friends' remark. Concerned, Minji wondered what had happened to her best friend. She hadn't seen Hanni all day.
Determined, Minji searched every corner of the academy, but Hanni was nowhere to be found. Still, Minji refused to give up.
"Minji, what are you doing?" a familiar voice called out. Turning around, Minji saw Hanni standing before her.
Without hesitation, Minji enveloped the younger girl in a tight hug. "Are you okay, Han?" she asked, her voice filled with worry.
Hanni's eyes widened in surprise. "I'm kind of... alright." she responded with a sad smile.
"Let's go to the garden, I would like to lie down there." Hanni suggested as the two of them went to the academy's garden.
As soon as they arrived, with a worried look on her face, Minji pressed further about Hanni's currently feeling, "What happened, Han?"
"I failed the exam, but that's alright. I'll pass next time." Hanni responded, trying to sound positive despite her disappointment.
Hanni sighed, "I wish the rain would just wash over me. I'd feel a bit better if it rained right now. It would make me feel not alone as the sky was crying with me."
Minji closed the distance between her and Hanni. "I'm here, Hanni. As long as I'm here, you're not alone. You never will be." She mumbled, hugging her tightly.
"You've grown quite clingy, Minji." Hanni said with a faint smile.
"Clingy only to you." Minji replied softly.
"Uh, Hanni, I need to buy something. Wait here, alright?" Minji said with a hint of urgency in her voice.
"Sure, just get back quickly." Hanni replied.
As soon as Hanni agreed, Minji took off running. She ran out of the academy as fast as she could, determined to fulfill something. Dodging through the crowd, she approached several villagers, desperation in her voice.
"Do you have the ability to manipulate the weather?" She asked a passerby.
"Go away, freak." the person retorted.
Unbothered, Minji hurried to a nearby stall. "Do you have the ability to manipulate the weather?" She asked the vendor.
"No. Ask someone else." The vendor responded.
Minji continued on her way, asking anyone she encountered. Because she wanted to make it rain because she wanted to make Hanni feel better.
"Do you need something, Kim Minji?" A familiar voice interrupted her search. Turning around, she saw Jang Wonyoung passing by.
"Great," Minji said with a smile. "Do you know someone who can manipulate the weather?"
Wonyoung raised an eyebrow at Minji's question. "What?" she asked, pretending not to have heard correctly.
"I said, do you know someone who can manipulate the weather?" Minji repeated.
"Whoa, you're asking the right person. I know someone who can do that. Go back to the academy and look for a girl named Kang Hyewon." Wonyoung responded at Minji's question.
With a big smile, Minji shouted, "THANK YOU, JANG!" and hurried back to the academy to find Kang Hyewon.
When she arrived, she quickly located the girl. "Are you Kang Hyewon?" Minji asked, slightly out of breath.
"Yes, why?" Hyewon replied, curious.
"Do you have the ability to manipulate the weather?"
"Yes." Hyewon confirmed, now more intrigued.
"Can I copy your ability?"
"Yes?" Hyewon responded, a bit confused.
"Thanks!" Minji said, extending her hand for a handshake. Hyewon accepted, and after expressing her gratitude once more, Minji rushed off.
Hyewon watched her go, shaking her head. "Kids these days are kind of weird."

Meanwhile, Pham Hanni waited for Minji to return, wondering why it was taking her so long to buy something. She sighed, feeling a bit impatient.
Suddenly, raindrops began to fall from the sky, lightly tapping her skin. Before she knew it, tears formed in her eyes and began to fall.
"Kim Minji." Hanni said softly, a genuine smile spreading across her face.
She could feel the warmth of Minji's heartfelt gesture.
"Do you like my gift?" Minji asked, appearing behind Hanni.
Hanni rubbed her eyes and, with a sincere smile, responded, "Thank you for this, Minji."
In that moment, Minji felt her heart racing once again. Every time Hanni smiled, butterflies danced in her stomach.
She couldn't utter a word and just gazed at the girl, who was enjoying the rain.
"I love you, Pham Hanni," Minji finally whispered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the raindrops.
"What?"
"Nothing."
