Chapter 5: Will He Survive?

Eda pov:

I was downstairs starting to make breakfast like I always do at this time of morning, luz had a late night doing something I have no idea of, and being the perfeshonal parent like I am, didn't ask what she did, I told her to get some sleep and that I would wake her up when breakfast was ready, I have no idea what she was doing out so late but hey, it none of my concern, at least she got home safe.

As I sat down, taking a sip of some apple blood, and watching the sun starting to rise, before all of a sudden I heard the door being knocked,

Who the hell would be knocking at these hours? I thought, It's too early for it to be luzes friends, so who can it be?

The door started getting louder and louder, and I couldn't ignore it any longer. I got up and made my way to the door, " ya, ya, I'm coming. You can stop all that kno- RAINE!!!!"

I opened the door to be met with raine and Darius,

" eda we need your help, please we just found him like this, he needs help right now" they barged in walking pass me, I didn't know what they were talking about, and Darius was holding something I couldn't tell what it was, but whatever it was, it was leaking something,

Darius put whatever he was holding down on the couch and stepped away, I approached them, seeing what all the ruckus was all about, as I finally stepped fowored, I finally understood what they were talking about. I saw what was freaking them out, and I wish I hadn't. It was the golden guard. He was in his uniform, but the only color I could see was red, blood, no gold, just blood, his face was all cut up, and the clothes he was wearing had cuts all over them, they were literally tworn apart,

I ran to him to see if he was still breathing, " raine, what the titan happened to this boy, he's barely breathing" I asked, raine responded by shacking their head, having no idea what happened, " eda, is there anyway you can help him?" Darius asked, I was about to answer him before I heard a voice behind me,

" Eda. Is everything okay?" I turned around to see luz and King standing on the staircase looking to see what all the noise was, not knowing what happened,

" luz, king, go back upstairs. You guys shouldn't be seeing this," I told them, I quickly sprinted to the bathroom to get bangedges, and anything that  could help, I came back to see luz now next to hunter, she looked petrified, " e- eda what happened to him" luz asked, with shocked eyes aswell,

" I don't know, still trying to figure that out, kido I need you to make a call to your healer friend, can you do that" I asked her, she shook her head and ran upstairs, I told Darius to help me take his stuff off and to help me control the bleeding, once everything was off it was worse then we thought, this boy was on the verge of dieing.

5 minutes later, we heard a knock on the door, raine got up and went to go answer it.

" Hi, luz said to come as fast as I could. What happened?" Viney asked, raine showed the girl why she was here, raine brought the girl to the couch, she was shocked about what she was  seeing, " omg, its Caleb, or is it hunter... never mind that, what happened to him" she asked while rushing to his side, imidently healing his wounds, I had no idea how this girl knew him, but I didn't ask since she was obviously busy working on him now,

" we don't know, only the boy knows, we need your help," I said, while wrapping Hunter's eye that has been damaged,

" I'm on it, it's gonna take and hour to heal all the wounds, let's just hope he can take it" viney says while healing the boy, eda stepped back to look at the scene,

Raine was consoling Darius, Darius looked like a mess, looked like he was on the verge on crying, and viney was on the side on the couch, healing hunter's wounds, I excused myself and went upstairs to go check on luz,

I came upstairs to see luzs door closed, I went up to the door and knocked on it.

Knock, knock, knock, " luz! You in there, " I asked before opening her door, luz was on the floor petting king while cryin, king was trying his best to console her, " Eda, is he going to be okay?" Luz asked while getting up quickly, " we still don't know. It's too early to tell," I told her,

" he- he wasn't like this earlier, he was okey, and now he's -" I interrupt her, " Wait, you were with him? What were you two doing?" I asked, luz was crying still, not able to talk, and King was just sitting there not knowing what to do,

" kido, kido, calm down, I need you to tell me what you and hunter were doing tonight" luz said nothing, she was still crying but calming down now, after a minute she responded,
" he, he was trying to steal the palismen from the school, I was there and I stopped him, but then Kikimora tried to kill him and we defeated her, after that he left I don't know what happened to him after that" she said in one breath, I rubbed her back, calming her down,

" Okey, thank you for telling me, for now you and king stay up here, ima call your school and tell them your not coming today, and it would be helpful if you tell your friends to not come by today, can you do that" she shook her head, I pat her on her head and left, going back downstairs, it was more calm now, viney was almost done, Darius was looking out the window, not bearing to look at hunter and raine was no where to be seen,

" viney, where did the person with the blue hair go?" I asked. She pointed twords the kitchen and went back to work, I walked to the kitchen to see them sitting there, drinking a cup of apple blood, I joined them, getting a cup for myself as well, " is he going to be alright?" I asked raine, " he's looking better, pulse is stronger, i-i don't know what happened, Eda, he was just there, laying there, I wished I could have helped bu -"

"You did help him. You brought him here, and he's alive. Do we know who did this?" I asked raine. He shook his head before taking another sip out of his cup,

" raine, we need to talk, but not today, but soon," I told them, he shook his head knowing what I was talking about, we stayed there until viney came to the room,

" I'm all finished. He should be stabled now, but he's gonna be asleep for a while. Ima stay here for a few minutes, watch watch over him to see if anything changes before I leave" viney said, I said okey, and she left, raine stood up and faced me, " eda, im afraid someone at the castle did this and I don't think it's safe anymore for hunter, I hate to ask bu-" I interrupt him, standing up aswell, " raine, ofcorce he can stay here" I told raine, them smiled and thanked me, we made our way to the living room to check up on the kid, Darius was next to hunter, holding his hand and luz was sitting across them, watching while petting king who was asleep, thought I told them to stay upstairs,

" Alright, Darius, we have to leave, belos might start asking questions if we're gone any longer. Hunter will be staying here for now on until its safe for one of us to take him and relocate him, " Raine told Darius, Darius said nothing in respond and just stood up, walking twords us, " keep a good eye on that kid, Eda, he's a good kid," Darius said,

" ofcorce Darius, I'll take care of him like he's my own child," I told him, Darius went up to hunter and said his goodbye and just like that, raine and Darius were gone, a few minutes later, viney left, saying if anything else happened to text her and she'll come right away, after she left it was just me, luz and king to watch over this boy, this it going to be fun.
