Chapter 13: We Need To Talk

Unknown pov:

As belos sat on his thrown, reviewing the next steps for the portal, he heard a knock,
" Come in," a scout came in and kneeled in front of the emperor, as protocol,

" I'm sorry emperor belos for intruding but this is important" the scout said, breaking the first rule inside the throne room, wait for belos to speak first, it better be important for whatever he got to say or he'll be punished severely, even the golden guard knew not to break that rule, " what is it then?"

" The golden guard, hunter has been seen in the town square, and then seen again running away from a burning building with multiple Unknown individuals," This purcked his ears, finally, we got him,
" Were there any attempts on capturing them?"

" negative, we were too busy putting out a fire they had started, they was already gone by the time we controlled it, and the owners of the business weren't that much help, had to arrest them on a couple of charges" the scout informed him, a fire, running away with unknown individuals, this dosent sound like the hunter I knew, but it does remind me of a certain person,

" And, only you saw the golden guard?"

" Yes,"

" mhmmmm, keep me updated on any changes, and at no exceptions will any scouts go near him and capture him, his time will come very soon, but till then, let's give him some hope,"

I always liked destroying there hope before discarding them, sadly I can't discard this one, it would take too long to make a new one, it wouldn't be done by the day of unity but I'll still have fun destroying his hope, and his will to live, he'll be mine sooner than later,

" Your dismissed scout, and Steve, I don't want anyone to know you seen the golden guard, not yet at least, understood."

" ye-yes, emperor," the scout said, surprised the emperor used his name. He quickly stood back up and left, not wanting to stay there any longer,

" soon hunter, you'll come home, and when you do, I make sure I take everything away from you before leaving this hellhole" belos said evily as he stood and left, unknown to him that there whole conversation was being listened to by someone in the vent, he had to tell everything to raine immediately.

Eda pov:

Today's been a good day, kids are out of the house, king left for the play ground, said something about ruling over the kids and that they will fear him, and to top it off I still got plenty of apple blood left for the week, today's been a good day, a well deserved day off, Titan knows I deserv a break to just kick my legs off and lay and do nothing, sounds like paradise, but sadly I wasn't in paradise, this place is hardly paradise but hey, you got to do what's given to you,

I was taking a sip from my glass, unbothered by nothing, but how luck would have it I would be interrupted when I heard the door knock, Dame, is it too much to ask to not get visitors on a day like this, I said in my head, I slowly but surely put my legs back on and waked to the door, " this better be important or ima be angry" as I opened the door, I was met with a person I wouldn't have thought I be seeing today, it was raine, with his sweet smile plastered on them face, " hey eda, may I come inside?"

" mhmmm, I don't know. Are you still supposed to not know me AT ALL, pretend we haven't talked in years, rainee" I told him as I left, leaving the door open not looking back, I walked into the kitchen to pour myself some more apple blood, the way this looks like it's going to go, it be better for everyone for me to have apple blood in my system, raine came into the kitchen, only standing in the entrance, not feeling if he should keep his space or not,

" eda, I'm sorry I lied to you, it hurt me as much as it hurt you to do that, I didn't want to risk your safety, you have children to take care of for Titan sake, I didn't want to put you in that situation," I listened closely, I sighed and poured another glass and sat it down on the table, sliding it to raine and telling them to sit down,

" first raine, you don't have a say into what I do, if I want to rebell and fight the emperors coven then I will, but I will always put my children before me, including hunter,  and second...... well, I don't really have a second, actually." I said as I drank from my glass

" Look, that's not what I came here to talk about, I came here to warn you,"

" oh, and what are you here to warn me about, I have everything handled" I told raine, he looked like he was hiding something, but he looked serious aswell, haven't seen this side of raine in a while, " hunters been spotted, he's on belos radar, and to add on top of it he's after you aswell eda, he wants you dead or given a sigil, he's after everyone who dosent have a sigil"

" Dame, do you know why he wants them all to have a sigil?"

" it has something to do with the day of unity. He wants everyone to have one on the day of unity, we think he's up to something, me, Darius, and Eberwolf are making a plan to stop it but, we need your help eda, the more people we have the better"

" mhmmmm, I may be interested, I'll even ask Lilith if she wants to join aswell, she would like to take that prick down also" I told raine chuckling a bit before losing that smile,

" So, what do we do about hunter he's no longer safe,"

" agreed, but we can't do much at the moment, Darius wants to take him away and disappear off of the boiling isles but I talked him out of it, it would only do harm him leaving"

" so, eda it's up to you, you need to keep him safe, belos is really ceen to getting him back before the day of unity, and we all know how it's going to end for the kid" raine said, taking his final sip of apple blood,

" sighh, I didn't sign up for this shit, alright, I'll figure something out, In the meantime, I want consent updates, got it," I told them,

" got it, I have to leave before belos gets suspicious, but eda, just know I never stopped thinking of you, till next time eda" raine stood up and left, leave me puzzled, Titan he always knows how to sneak back into my heart, what am I going to do,

As I pored another drink I heard the front door open a and close, then the ruler of all demons came walking in, scavenging for food out of the cabinets, before finding something he liked and sat down on the table, eating,

" You look like shit. What happened while I was gone?" King asked while taking a bite out of his food,

" Trust me, buddy, you don't want to know,"
