Chapter 23: A Meeting, Yay

Luz pov:

It's been a full five days since Hunter's been back and since he's been back he's change, not bad changes but, im a little worried, since the day we brought him back he's been pushing everyone away, he would still talk to gus and willow, but when they ask to hangout he would turn them down, and another thing, he's been pushing his body too hard, he's been working out and training when he should be resting and healing, he says that he's gotten too weak and soft and that he's need to do this, not just for himself but for us as well which dosent make any sence to me, and he hasn't been getting the proper sleep he needs, like yesterday when I came downstairs to get a glass of water, he was just sitting on the couch not sleeping, just staring out into outerspace while holding his head, I asked if he was alright but it was like he was shut down, he never replied to me which was strange, everyone is worried even Eda, she told me he also hasn't been eating that much either, I don't know what belos did to him but it look like it took an effect on him, and since the time Lilith has been staying here with us, she would tell me how this reminded her about how he would do the exact things he's doing now but back at the castle, back when he was the golden guard, always training, rarely ate, and whenever she was up late she would always see him, roaming the hallways and doing stuff, it sounds like he's becoming his old self again and I'm not liking it.

Today, I couldn't find hunter anywhere in the owl house, he wasn't on the cluch, or in the living room or anywhere I looked, I went into the kitchen to ask Eda and Lilith if they saw him, when I entered the kitchen they were just staring out of the window watching something while drinking there coffees.

" Hey Eda, Lilith, have you guys seen Hunter? I can't find him anywhere."

" come take a look" eda said moving aside so there's now enough room for me near the window, I looked out there to see Hunter climbing trees, running and jumping while attacking little wooden dummies he had set up, " how long has been doing, well, this"

" Well, since I woke up, but probably longer, how in Titan does he move so fast while still healing, its scary in my opinion," Lilith said, as she took a sip out of her coffee

" Sigh, this can't be good for the kid, I hate to ask but luz, you gotta do something, I would but I have to meet with raine and Eberwolf for some reason, said it was urgent, Lilith will be in charge of the house, go take hunter somewhere, but possibly somewhere no scouts are" eda said

" I'll try, but I don't think he'll listen to me,"

" Well, make him, I'm off, I'll be home by evening," Eda said as she walked away,

" OKEY EDA YOU CAN COUNT ON MEE!" I screamed, I heard the front door closed, and I resumed to watch Hunter with Lilith,

" now I'm starting to understand why he was chosen to be the golden guard, he can run fast, fight as good as the coven heads, listen to order and obey them without a hesitation, and well plus him being the emperor nephew and all, I could see why belos chose him to be the next golden guard"

A sudden question popped into my head

" What happened to Hunter's parents?"

" I - I actually have no idea. After the old golden guard disappeared, one day he just announced that he had a nephew and that he would take the role of the new golden guard, just popped up one day out of the blue, it was strange how he passed everyone so fast being so young back then, but no one questioned it" Lilith said, so he popped up one day and no one asked questions, that seems weird,
