Chapter 43: Cabin) Part One

Hunter pov:

To think belos use to live here, be here, gives me the creeps, to think he was watching us makes me angry, to think he got that close to us and escaped makes me enraged, I'm also thankful we didn't find or see him because I don't know what I would do In that situation, I don't know if I would be strong enough to face him better yet fight him, how can I keep them safe when I'm so weak, it feels like he's everywhere, watching me in the shadows, keeping an eye on my, ready to strike when I'm at my most vulnerable, I'm getting more paranoid by the day, double checking rooms, securing the doors and windows so there's no possible ways in, and staying up at night waiting, my brain won't let me sleep so why wast time trying to sleep when I can guard the house and keep everyone safe, today was like every other day, I stayed up all night, not being able to go to asleep, you could see the bags under my eyes get bigger and bigger by the day, and it's only been 2 days!!!

I was literally dead when vee came downstairs and went to the kitchen, I didn't even notice her untill she paused my movie and stood in front of me, waiting patiently for my to notice her,

" thought you said you were gonna get sleep tonight,"

" tried, just couldn't," I tiredly told her millions of miles away. She snapped her fingers at my face, getting my attention back to her,

" You look terrible,"

" Oh really, thanks," I sarcasticly said. She placed her hand to my forehead and gasped,

" You're burning up, I'm getting Camila," she said as she turned around to go get her, I quickly grabbed her arm, making her stop,

" Wait, nonono, please don't, " I begged her. Today, Luz and I were gonna go back to the cabin and explore it some more. Nothing can go wrong today,

" mhmmm, fine, but you're helping me make you some soup. Maybe that'll help with your fever."

" fineeee"

I got up and went to the kitchen, vee went to the cuberds while I went to the window, flapjack was perched up on a little tree thing Camila got him, flapjack has taken a big interest in Camila which is sweet,

" Hey buddy, how are you doing on this very bright day?" I asked while getting away from the bright window,

" Chirp Chirp, chirrp"

I gave flapjack some pets before going to vee,

" alright hunter, cut thoes carrots and vegetables while I boil some water " she said, I shook my head and started cutting, as I chopped the vegetables, my gaze returned to the window, I was on the second carrot when I saw something,  more like someone behind a tree,

" b- belos?" I looked closer and saw him, with a twisted smile on his face,

" w- what the- GAHH FUCKK!" I screamed in pain, dropping the knife as I held my hand, my hand bleed pufusly, blood pouring out dripping off my hand, landing on the counter and floor, I had cut 2 of my fingers, I quickly grabbed a rag and held it to my fingers, trying my best to stop the blood,

" Hunter, what happened?" Vee asked as she looked at my hand, checking it,

" I- I saw- I saw -" I looked back to the window and saw nothing, like he was never there, I was speechless,

"Good morning guys... hunter, what happened? " luz asked as she walked to us, looking at the scean that folded just a few seconds ago,

" Hunter cut his fingers while chopping the vegetables and he didn't pay attention and cut himself like a dumbass,"

" Hunter, you okey," Luz asked as she looked at my bloody fingers, reviling the badly cut,

" yea, I'm fine, I thought I saw something outside the window, but I guess it was nothing."

" I go get Camila, stay here and keep pressure on the wound," Vee told me before leaving, luz watched her leave before walking to me,

" Was it him that you saw?" luz asked, already knowing what would startle me this much that would cause me to cut myself, I shook my head, bowing my head down in shame,

Luz just gave me a sad look, but before she could say anything to maybe comfort me Camila showed up,

" Hunter, you okey cariño, how bad does it hurt?" Camila asks as she looked at my cut,

" not that bad, it's fine" I told her with a stern face on but inside I was clenching my teeth in pain, praying for the bleeding to stop, this isent the first time I cut myself, but it's the first time I did it accidentally and not on purpose, Camila took me to the couch and bandaged up my fingers, as she wrapped it up she couldn't help but be curious about how this happened, how many times before I had never cut myself untill now,

" What were you doing that caused you to cut yourself?"

" Me and vee were making soup,"

" Why soup? People don't eat soup in the morning. "

" Because he had a temperature, and I thought soup would help," Vee told Camila as she came in handing me the bowl,

" A fever?, come here and let me feel," she told me, I let her feel my forehead, and to her horror, I was burning up badly,

" Your burning cariño, have you done anything that would have cause a fever, go outside without a jacket, overwork your body, anything?" She asked, I looked at luz and eye signaled her, asking if I should tell her, in response she said no way she'll flip,

" No, not that I can think of."

" mhmmm, I would really like to take you to the hospital and get you checked, but since you are from a different realm, that's not a possibility."

" whatcu going to do, Mama?" luz asked,

" I'ma take him to work with me and do a check up, check on his bones and how he's healing and see if I can do something about that fever" Camila told her, they talked for a few more seconds before she left to get ready,  luz came to me and spoke,

" hunterrr, why do you have to get all sick on me today?"

" it's your fault. You forced me to go searching for... for HIM, 3 nights in a row. "

" okokok, I see how this may be a tad bit my fault, but who am I supposed to take to the cabin now, not like I can go alone, what if something happens,"

" take the rest of the group, it's time to tell them luz, they should know" I told her, she looked uncertain but agreed and left not before hugging me and telling me how I better get better, Camila came in the room swinging her keys around her fingers, walking to the door,

" Alright, hunter, let's go, "
