Chapter 39: Bad Thoughts

Hunter pov:

Since I've woken up everyone has been talking to me none stop, I get it, they missed me and all but I was starting to get annoyed, people never talked to me back at the castle but now, its a little overwhelming, I love them all with all my mite but, my social battery was getting dangerously low so when Camila told me that they needed to leave, I sighed a relief, she said that I needed more rest and needed to heal more before doing anything, you could see the issue to that though with everyone else, luz, willow, and gus didn't want to leave me alone, amity couldn't give two shits and vee seemed uninterested with the whole situation, so Camila volunteered gus to stay home with me and aside him to help me with anything, willow and luz were upset that they wern't chosen but gave up and excepted that there friend got to spend the day with there very alive friend, they ofcorce made sure I had everything that I needed or maybe needed before leaving but when they left I could actually breathe, ever since well I woke up they've been smothering me with affection and talking to me none stop, I get they missed me but don't they know I jusy woke up from a 5 day coma, let a guy adjust or process everything, I thought with everyone gone I could get some more rest but destiny had other plans for me,

Gus comes walking into the living room with a costume on and a toolbox of what I could only imagine were wepens, tiny little wepens,

" alright hunter as your temporary caretaker, it's my responsibility to take care of you. Now open your mouth."

" ummm, why?"

" I don't know, the people in the TV show iv been watching do it all the time with there patients, now open wide" gus told me as he held a tool in his hand, itching it twords my face,

" How about no and come again later? If you really want to take care of me, how about you go feed flapjack and the rest of the palismen?"

" mhmmm finee, I'll be back, but while I'm gone, don't move or do anything while im gone, can't let you get injured on my watch, luz would kill me, she even said so" gus told me as he shivered at the thought of his best friend killing him,

Gus then disappeared, finally leaving me alone, I layed down and stared at the ceiling, I thought having this time to myself would be peaceful but how wrong I was, since I woke up my mind hasn't gotten the time to process everything that has happened but now, with everyone gone, everything came crashing down on me, things I've forgotten had came back to me, how belos stabbed me, how Darius, Eberwolf, and eda got cornered and were forced to participate in the ritual, and ofcorce how everyone started to fall and glow, amity dad tried to turn off the abominations but they wern't his to everyones surprise, belos had started making his own so they couldn't be turned off by anyone else other than him, but he found a way to turn them off temporarily and amity siblings and the rest of the catts got belos to stop the draining spell, we were so close to stopping him, but then the child appeared from the glass coin all of the sudden, belos was almost dead, one more stab wound, one more blast and he would be dead, belos got to the child and said some bullshit like he couldn't let him go and play with him if hes dead, so being so nieve, the kid made him 10 times more powerful and for that kids reward, he was betrayed, thrown into a ravine, Lilith made sure I didn't spend another second there and turned the teleporter on and threw me in, but before she did she said something to me, I can't remember what though but as soon as she was done she threw me in, destroying it quickly before belos could get to it I'm assuming, and than I was on earth, dieing, then luz came to my rescue and saved me, as these thoughts went through my head, all I could of think of were the things I could had done differently, ways I've could had done to pervent this, to save everyone,

I quickly sat up and put my head to my knees, setting my hands over my head trying to stop the bad thoughts running through my head, but they just kept coming and coming at me, everything around me fadded into darkness, leaving me in darkness, all the noise slowly fadded, leaving me and him alone to ourselves, just me and him,

" You'll never be safe, hunter. I will find you and your friends, and when I do, you'll have nothing," he said to me,

" I won't let you take them, I won't let you hurt them, I swear my life to it," I mumbled,

"Mhmmm, like you sweared your life to serve and protect me, face it hunter wherever you go, I will follow and find you, your friends will never be safe"

" Shut up, shut up, shut upppp, just leave me and my friends alone."

" mhmmmhehehe, never."

I jolted up when I felt a hand appear on my shoulder, shaking me like crazy, sound suddenly came back to me, everything came back to me in a flash, gus was shaking me like crazy while screaming my name,

" wha- where am I, what-what happened?" I said, coming back to reality and shaking in fear,

" You're at luzs house, you were just sitting there mumbling to yourself, I tried getting your attention but you wouldn't answer, I was starting to get really worried, are you okay?" Gus asked with a worried expression plastered all over his face,

" im- I'm fine, just.... just don't leave me alone..... please, " I told gus. He gave me a reassured look and sat next to me,

" Whatever you're going through, you're not alone. I'll be by your side,"

" Thanks, gus, you're the best,"

" I know, but so are you. "
