Chapter 15: This Isen't My Home

Hunter pov:

" And that's how I got this scar, hurt like hell." I said while showing him my scar on my arm, gus started laughing his ass off, obviously amused by my story

" Wait, wait, wait, so let me get this straight. You, the great and fearless golden guard, got beaten up by a toddler, hahaha."

" nooo, your information is wrong, not just one. It was a group. What was I supposed to do, attack them?" I said trying to tell my case, " dude, that's just sad, I guess we know who to get if you turn evil and go against us" gus said while still laughing, I couldn't help but laugh at the moment as well, that was the last time I watched kids,

We were halfway home now. We didn't expect the sun to start going down so soon so I got gus to agree to just stay the night since its going to be night when we get there, wasn't that hard to get him to say yes, he was excited about the idea.

I would have to make sure it's okey with eda but she shouldn't care, as long as we're quiet and don't break anything, she doesn't care about much, it's crazy how different she is from belos, she let's me do basically whatever I want unlike belos who literally controlled everything I did, im so grateful to be freed from him I can't see myself ever going back to that prison I called home for so many years,

" Hey, gus, did I tell you that Eda is enrolling me to Hexside?"

Gus instantly stopped and turned around, " NOOO, OH MY TITAN NO, ARE TOU SERIOUS," gus asked while jumping in excitement, ready to celebrate any second now.

" Yep, she said I should start going to school like all the rest, I already know, like literally everything there is, but I have nothing else to do, so I said yea, she's enrolling me next semester." Gus beamed at the thought of me going to school,
" I can't waitt I'ma show you off to all my friends, waitt, hunter, you could join the Human Appreciation Society that I run, it would be so much fun if you joined"

gus screamed, I started laughing at his excitement before I heard a noise come from the forest, which made me stop moving.

" gus Hush, did you hear that?"

" Huh, no, what is it" gus asked looking around not seeing or hearing anything, my gut was warning me of something but what exactly, I had no idea, but I could sence something was watching us, flap jack could sence this too and flew back to me, perching on me, getting defensive aswell.

" gus, I think wer- BANG!!!"

there was a blast that hit my back, sending me to the ground,
" HUNTER!" gus screamed while pulling his palismen out as well, turning him into a staff, getting into a defensive position as well. When I looked up, I was met with a giant abomination, and standing on it was none other than..... Kikimora, scouts surrounded us, there was no escape, " well, well, well, look who it is, the golden BRAT, don't worry I make this quick and painful" she said evily, " GET THEMM"

gus quickly made fog appear out of air and used his illusion spells while I quickly got up and attacked the scouts coming at me, we took down 5 scouts before the ground started to shake, I got picked up and slammed on the ground by the abomination while gus got blasted at, causing him to lose control of his fog and letting it go, they were here for me and only for me, it won't end good for gus if he dosent escape, he has to escape, even if that means I don't,

I got up, took out my last glyph and slammed it down on the ground, causing plants to spue out and hit a few scouts but not all, Kikimora was making her way to me,  determined to capture me, I only had a few seconds before there up again, and on top of us,

I quickly helped gus get up, and I screamed at him.

" gus, you need to leave, GO."

" NO HUNTER IM NOT LEA-" I was suddenly hit from the back sending me flying to a tree, hitting it, my back took all of the blow, I literally could not stand anymore and my vision was getting blurry, flap jack came flying to me instantly, seeing if I'm okey and not dead.

" fl-flap jack, get gus out of here pl- please now" I told him he turned around and flew off, gus was cornered, he was weak but still giving it his all, but he would soon be blasted upon from the scouts surounding him and then captured, but then in mere seconds he was suddenly in the air, gus looked down and was met with flap jack flying, dodging the scouts shots and escaping into the forest, with gus screaming my name,

My body was so weak I couldn't move, the scouts surrounded me, wepens drawn in case I tried to do anything, " it's a shame, you've gotten so weak since the last time we met, but don't you worry, you'll have nothing to worry about once we get back to the castle" Kikimora said while laughing, I spat blood at her while laughing my ass off as well,

" fuck you, you'll never be the golden guard, actually, you'll be nothing by the time I escape, and when I do I make sure you be dead, I'll make sure all of you are dead, HAHAHAH" I said while I laughed my ass off, but deep inside I was terrified of what belos will do to me, but I couldn't let her see that, before I knew it, I was knocked unconscious, shutting me up.

Gus pov:

" FLAP JACK TURN AROUND THIS INSTENT, HUNTER NEEDS OUR HELP" I begged the bird but I got no response, I had no control of the staff and where it was flying to, and I couldn't fly on Emmiline Bailey Marcostimo, she was too weak to fly, so what did I do, I cried, not knowing what to do, hunter was just taken and where am I? I'm miles away from him, unable to help him, I soon see the owl house in the distance coming closer and closer, my tears wouldn't stop, I was a mess, we soon got to the house, landing safely on the ground before flap jack turned back and flew to the home, I just stayed where I was, too beatened up to get up and too busy crying, I soon hear the door open and someone approaching me,

" luzs friend, umm, gus, what happened, isen't hunter supposed to be with you?" I looked up to see Eda crouching down to my side, " th- the-they"

" Kid, calm down, breathe," she told me, I took her advice and started breathing, counting down, but it didn't work that much, " Kid, focus, what happened?"

" th-they took him eda, they attacked us an-and hunter saved me from getting captured, th- they took him eda" that all I could say before breaking down, she looked shocked, not actually believing what I just said before shacking her head, refocusing, " are you okey, you look terrible here come" she said while picking me up and rushing me inside,

" KING, I NEED A FIRST AID KIT FAST," Eda screamed while setting me down on the couch. King quickly appeared before handing her what she needed,
" What happe-? Wow, what happened to him?" King asked, finally seeing me,

" King, I need you to call luz and tell her to get back home as fast as she can. Can you do that?"

" ye- yea, I can," King said while scurrying away,

" Okey, let's see what we're working with," Eda said while checking me, I had a few cuts, some bruises and bangs, and that was it. She fixed me up as good as she could,

" Okey there, you're basically good as new." I sat up slowly, still in pain, " Kid, I need you to tell me who took hunter."

" it was some tiny lady and a bunch of scouts, I think her name is Kikimora" I informed her, before she could speak the door opened, luz and Amity appeared, they look tired, they were hufing and pufing,  trying to get air, " eda, what happened, king told me to get here as fast as I could" she asked a bit worried, she suddenly seen me and got more worried before looking back at eda,

" they took hunter."
