Chapter 7:

Laura's Pov

It's 7:00am here and today is a challenge day! The only reason I am awake is due to the wake up call we received which consisted of Loud pounding on our cabin door, then there was a paper with scavenger hunt instructions and where to meet up at... it was a very unpleasant way to wake up but now that I am awake the paper says that We (Ross and I) have to meet at the lake at 7:30 am sharp

"Hey Ross... get up!" I yelled

"Ughh. What time is it?" he groaned

"It's 7:00 and we have a scavenger hunt."

"How do you know?" Ross said in his adorable morning voice which was very husky;)

"Did you not hear that loud knocking on the door? Cause someone dropped off this schedule and we have to meet at the lake at 7:30 or we will be disqualified."

"We have to win! lets go" Ross said

"Yes! and we should match" I said

"Ok! Let's wear Camo!" Ross told me handing me a hunter green t shirt with Camo capris pants. Then he wore Camo shorts and a hunter green colored shirt as well... both of us looked so adventurous and really cute together... oops! did I really just say that?

"Ok, I'm going to get dressed, be right back!" so I went to the bathroom and got dressed into the clothes Ross gave me and when I returned I saw Ross wearing his camo shorts but he wasn't wearing a shirt... and tbh, I was glad ;) until he turned around and noticed I was staring... This is not going to end well!

"Admiring the view?" he said flexing and then I blushed but came up with an amazing comeback...

"Ya! This campsite is amazing" I replied! Good one Laura I thought to myself

"Sure... the campsite is but I know what you were really staring at an don't worry, one day I will let you feel my muscles" he said while flexing... ugh this boy drives me insane!!! That's just super weird!

"We should head out." I said changing the subject so we walked next to one another on the trail that leads to the lake...

Then we saw Kevin with a paper so we ran down the hill yelling "Kevin? Kevin! Is that you Kevin" rapidly and it was hilarious!

"AH! Raura has made it!" Kevin said hugging us and joking of course... at least I think?

"Actually, we are just friends" I said am then Ross' face turned from excited to glum.... hmmm?

"I've heard that one before!" Kevin said " the whole friends thing, it won't last, you will become more... someday atleast.

"Okay? so why are you here Kevin?" Ross asked ignoring Kevin's last statement

"Oh right, you guys (meaning the teams) Raura vs Caini will complete a scavenger hunt and the first to find everything on the list and complete the challenges will win a prize! Since you guys came before them, you get a ten minute lead, and when the first team completes their hunt and returns here with the most items then you will get a phone call...to start, you get two riddles, each lead to a different location but to get the other eight (ten total) you need to find these locations... In other words! which ever team has more riddles completed will win the challenge, you have until 3:00pm to return here... be here on time! Good luck and go!" Kevin said,

Then Laura and I ran off to read out first riddle. Since we got there first we have a ten minute lead over Raini and Calum. Also we receive two riddles to start with, not just one like them...

The first riddle is:

"In the Horse shoe, is where I shall be, don't look down for it can be deceiving but use land marks to help you and when you find this spot feel free to take a rest, it would be for the best" Laura read out loud

"What the heck is a horse shoe? I know for sure there aren't any stables here" Ross said

"How about the game horse shoes?" Laura questioned

"No, this campsite Dosent have that..."

"I got it! When I ran off a few days back, there are these trees and it creates this horse shoe shape that you can see better when Up in the. Sky and in the middle is a bench... maybe that's it?"

"Yea! Lets go!" Ross yelled grabbing my hand as we ran to the area and it was correct because on the bench was a little black box that contained a necklace with a horse shoe and the next riddle

"Yes we did! here's the next riddle" Ross said

2nd riddle:

"You found me and that's great, but this next clue will need no wait for I can be found by a mean crabby tree."

"I think I already know, Crabby tree is the type if tree and it can be found by Crab apple trees... we just have to find those!" Ross said and the more I see him in this trip, the cuter he becomes... it may sound weird but it's true

"There were some by the camp fire. I know cause one hit my head on the walk back from our bonfire..." I said

Then we ran over and saw the trees but no sign of a box. Suddenly Ross ran over to one of the trees and found the box, it just took a few minutes but we did it and all we have to do is beat Calum and Raini... I know we can do it...

Any ways we opened up the box to reveal an apple keychain and the next clue...

"You see me everyday, yet I am far away. Never far out of Reach, and I am sure to be not in the trees. You can find easiest in day, and people use me to play. Give me a good look, before you try and _--_"

"Well the last word is missing! that's just great!"

"Calm down Laur!" This one rhymes... lets play rap battle and see what word may rhyme with look..."

Then Laura began to spit out a track and I started to record her on my phone cause it was funny!
"With look, the words that rhyme are book, took, shook, cook, nook, rook, hook..."
