"Emotions can be contained for a limited time, but eventually, they overflow, leading to unpredictable actions."

I never considered myself a jealous person. During my marriage to Connor, I was surrounded by many attractive women that he too worked with. Allowing jealousy in to control my thoughts and emotions would have only added unnecessary stress to my life. So instead, I opted to have trust, breathe, and let things be. And it typically worked out just fine—until recently of course.
That's why my behavior when I went back downstairs felt so out of character for me. There was Padmé, who I thought had already left, but apparently she had returned shortly after I went upstairs with Anakin. From what I could hear from their conversation, it was because she needed to use the bathroom and ended up engaged in conversation with Ahsoka and Piett afterwards.
She was so focused on what they were talking about so she didn't see or hear me coming down. And it wasn't until I tapped her shoulder to turn her around and slapped her across the face that she finally realized I was there.
I didn't even know I was going to do that until it was done, as if something inside me took control the moment I caught sight of her familiar, brown curly hair and day dress.
Piett's eyes grew wide with surprise, and Ahsoka looked just as shocked, though she seemed more amused than anything else.
"How dare you come in here and kiss my boyfriend." I snapped as she raised her hand to her cheek, which was starting to turn a light pink. Her face showed disbelief. "You had your chance with him, and now that's over now. He's with me, and he's happy—so just stay out of our lives." I felt like crying as I confronted her; the emotions surrounding everything going on was a little too much for me right now. Maybe that's why I reacted the way I did; I was exhausted from keeping everything bottled up and this was the only thing I could really lose myself with.
I thought she would run off, leave, or maybe even start crying, but instead, she surprised me by pushing me and I stumbled a few steps back. "I had him first, and if you think for a second that he doesn't still care about me, then you're lying to yourself." She got into my face and I balled my fists at my side, holding back as much as I could, "He still has me apart of his life for a reason—" I barely let her finish before I lunged at her, completely losing my temper.
"Should we do something?" I heard Piett ask.
"No, let her handle it," Ahsoka replied, her tone calm yet firm, as if she believed I could manage this confrontation on my own.
She fought back right away, her fists swinging in the air, but I had more training than she could ever possess. It didn't take long before I had her pinned on the ground in a headlock, after a few weightless punched from her. My lips were close to her ear, and I whispered, "He might still care for you in a way a stranger cares for a fucking homeless person on the street that they feel sorry for, but it'll never be more than that—ever again."
Her breath hitched, and for a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of doubt in her eyes. But then, she twisted her body, trying to break free from my grip. "You don't know anything about him!"
