Saturday, 21st of September

Do you remember? The twenty-first night of September
🎵

Yep, I was forced to stay in my apartment.

I tried coming down this morning but unfortunately May had arrived early and was sorting through books.

She spotted me and gave me a stern glare.

I raised my hands in defeat and wordlessly walked back up and settled onto my couch, to which I've been sitting on watching a show for the past few hours.

It was almost noon now, and I had just finished the last episode in the first season of my show.

I sighed boredly. "I want to break free.." I sung sarcastically. "I want to break freeeeeee.."

I took a look at my phone, watching the clock move the minutes slowly.

I got up carefully, and walked to my counter where my glasses sat.

Fortunately they didn't get crushed in the accident, I happened to not be wearing them at that moment.

I took my glasses and put them on, and walked downstairs again, but this time more sneakily.

Call it boredom or a rebellious streak, I just wanted out.

I peeked over the railing to find May, Liz and Bella working on the pile, which was significantly smaller now, and would probably be cleaned up by later today.

I looked around for Jason but he wasn't there. Which was totally fine. He didn't have to be here every day.

Although I kinda wished he was.

For.. company, of course. I was bored. Jason had thousands of stories to tell, and I was craving some attention.

I sat on the stairs, essentially hiding as I leaned against the railing and listened to May and Liz sing along to Hamilton.

Bella didn't seem to take part in the singing, as I didn't hear her voice at all. Maybe it wasn't her cup of tea, which is fine. Hamilton isn't for everyone.

Although it is pretty catchy.

I opened up my journal and started jotting down ideas, wishes, desires and recent dreams.

I wanted to keep busy and be around people, so sitting at the bottom of the stairs- essentially hiding- but still feeling apart of something.

"Hey May, can we start decorating for fall after all this?" Liz spoke up, excitement evident in her voice.

May sighed. "Might as well."

I leaned my head against the railing and closed my eyes, listening to Liz jabber on and quote Hamilton, May humming along.

My eyes opened suddenly as I felt my body being lifted up the stairs. "Woah-" I looked up to see Jason.

"Hey, you're okay. Just bringing you back up." He replied calmly, holding me in his arms.
