Monday, 7th of October

Jason wouldn't be coming today, he wasn't here yesterday either. He had texted me yesterday and told me he had some work related issues to do, which honestly I kinda thought he was unemployed with the amount of time he's spent hanging around here.

Regardless, work had to be done.

I was on my own today. Perhaps I'll close early.

Memories of Saturday night were dim, I must have fallen asleep in the car.

I woke up in my bed, still wearing my dress, and a faint recollection of a kiss on my forehead.

I still remembered the sensation of being twirled around, being held in his arms.. his dazzling eyes watching my every move, his practiced hands guiding me smoothly in the moonlight.

I would be lying to deny my feelings after that.

I still have a crush on Jason. I mean he makes my heart race! His mischievous grin still makes me smile.

My only worry- do I act on these feelings? Do I try to leave hints?

I don't have very many friends here in Gotham.

I don't want to loose him.

I sighed, looking up to the door the little bell dinged.

"Hello Percy! Where's that awful girl you call coworker?"

"Hey bill." I wave from my stool at a bookshelf. "Bella has effectively been fired, for your information."

Bill nodded, his mouth parted in a silent 'oh'

"Good. Glad to hear it. She hit on me every time I walked in." He shook his head in disgust.

"You're like 70." I raised an eyebrow.

"54." He corrected with a quizzical look on his face. "I don't look that old do I?"

I grin. "Oh.. I donno.. maybe a little.."

"Ugh. Im surprised my wife still loves me."

"Only true love can see through wrinkles and belly fat.. and maybe Bella, but she was probably only after you for money."

"Don't remind me." He sighed.

"Anyways, what book were you after today?"

"Hmm..." I stared out the window in boredom, my foot tapping absentmindedly.

Bill had left half an hour ago, and the store had been empty ever since.

I finished my stocking for the day, prepared pick up orders for tomorrow and then had nothing else to do, left with my over thinking mind and the day dreams of what life might be like with Jason around as someone more then a friend.
