Kampê slithers, (crawls or whatever dragons do) towards me, no resistance from the other monsters who parted to let her through, her mere presence caused a cease fire throughout the abandoned air landing field.

Those who could see her clearly shivered in horror, and those who couldn't watched in confusion.

Her eyes remained focused on me, never diverting attention once.

The joker took up this opportunity to start monologuing to the superheroes about whatever the hades he had planned, but for Diana and I, we were laser focused on Kampê, after all.. we were the only ones who truly knew what she was capable of.

"We got this, right?" I asked with a nervous laugh.

"No mere demigod has ever defeated her before.. she was the first thing Zeus struck down with his lightning bolt.."

"Right, so no pressure!"

Diana took my free hand in hers, and I turn to her.

She looks me in the eyes with a serious determination.

"Dear cousin, I believe you can do anything, you are brave, strong and powerful.. remember I am beside you, I will assist you, and we can defeat her." I nod, understanding her worry and concern hid behind words of encouragement.

"We've got this. Slither lady has nothing on us."

Diana merely shook her head with a small smile, turning back to face Kampê, who was quickly approaching. We readied ourselves, knowing this would probably be our toughest fight- but atleast we had each others backs.

We ready our weapons, knowing we'd have to work together to gain an advantage over Kampê.

"We had lots of plans.. little demigod.."  Kampê said darkly, her voice sounding horrific and weirdly snakey. Like a hiss at all times.

"She acts as if I am not here." Diana raises an eyebrow.

"So sorry, I'm just the favorite of us cousins."

Kampê hissed "pathetic demigods. Fools to think you have any power here.. I am the Eternal Jailer! Your fate is to remain imprisoned forever, tortured but never killed.."

I shiver. "That's nice."

Kampê bares her teeth angrily, the weird heads that continuously kept changing snapped their jaws at me, oh, and so did the snakes on her head.

Man there was a lot to this lady.

"You will sing a different tune soon.. surrender now and perhaps I will let you die... someday."

"That's quite comforting, thank you. I'll think about it and get back to you in five to ten business days." I angled Riptide against the sun to blind Kampê, taking the moment to charge at her while she flinched back and did what snakes do. Hiss.

Diana un hooked her glittery rope of truth or whatever and slinging it over the constantly changing body of Kampê, pulling it tight so that she was restrained, although considering all the heads she had on her body, it didn't seem to latch on well.
