Happy birthday Liz!

"Happy birthday Liz!" Jason and I said, surprising her the moment she walked in.

"Awwwwww!!" She squealed. "You remembered!" She ran up and hugged me.

"Sort of. Not soon enough for cake.. but I got cookies and presents!" I reminded, holding up the shopping bags. I didn't have any wrapping paper so.. this would have to do.

"Aw! Gimme." She snatched the bags and looked inside, her eyes growing as wide as saucers when she saw the Lego box.

"Woah." She marveled, pulling it out carefully. "This.. is awesome. I've never had a Lego set before!"

She hugged me again. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome." I hugged her back. "Look in the other bag." I urged, and she took the other bag and her eyes lit up once again. "NUH UH."

"Yes." I smile.

"This is during off season!" She held the chocolates preciously. "I will savor every bite, I will make it last until February." She vowed.

I chuckled, realizing what she meant.

Strawberry chocolates were probably most common in February, Valentine's Day.

And probably cheaper too.

"Oh, and here." Jason offered his own bag of a gift, which he left earlier to go get, saying it had to be a surprise to both of us.

Liz looked inside the bag and cackled evilly.

"Jason.." I glared suspiciously.

He held his hands up in defense. "It's my money."

Liz reached in the bag and pulled out..

Glitter.

"A MEGA PACK OF GLITTER!"

It came with 10 different colors, and even some edible glitter, which I didn't know how I felt about that.

She grinned excitedly and hugged Jason tightly, making me question her glitter obsession.

She went back to the bag to put the glitter in when she realized there was something else in there.

She pulled it out with an 'aww' as it revealed to be a little stuffed horse.

"Everything is so perfect! Nothing else would be required!" She hugged her new plush like how I hug my own, smiling happily.

The door opened and in walked a relatively short kid, perhaps young adult, who might've been a little shorter than me even.

He had black hair and his blue eyes were focused directly on Jason.

"Hi welcome in." I greeted.

Liz turned and her jaw immediately dropped. "Forget what I said earlier." She whispered to me.
