Meeting the family

Saturday, 5th of October

Jason and I emerged back to the family room, meeting Tim and Liz at the doorway as they had just arrived themselves.

Liz rushed to me and grabbed my arm. "Percy, this place is massive. We didn't even get to explore half of it before our time was up...!" She whispered excitedly to me.

"It's amazing.." I grinned back.

We take a look inside the room to find a group of people, all of whom varied in hight and ages.. however one thing they all had in common... was the analytical gaze on their faces.

Jason urged me into the room and Tim and Liz followed behind shortly.

"Tim said we needed dates." Jason said with an accusing glare.

"It was time you stopped hiding her from us." A girl shrugged.

"I- ugh."

"Am I supposed to be here, like was this set up?" Liz asked.

"Nah.. you're adorable. You can stay." The same girl grinned.

"Thanks I guess?"

"So uh.." I asked in confusion.

"Hi, I'm Stephanie, it's a pleasure to formally meet you! If I knew Jason had his eyes on you I would've come introduce myself sooner.." she stepped forward and took my hand and shook it.

"The Gala starts in 15, so i suppose we have time for brief introductions." The older man instructed.

He must be Bruce, the dad in this crew.

"Well.. uh hi, I'm Percy.." I waved awkwardly.

"I'm Liz!" Liz added with a smile.

"Yes.. I'm Bruce Wayne." He nodded to the next blue eyed guy beside him.

"And I'm Dick." He grinned.

The next girl stepped forward "I am.. Cassandra, call me Cass."  She said with slow and practiced words.

The next guy raised his hand with a friendly smile. "Hey, I'm Duke!"

Damien shrugged, obviously he needed no introduction.

"This is most of us.." Stephanie gestured to the group.

"And a few extras.. like Barbara, she'll be at the Gala with her father, and Alfred.. you'll probably meet in a moment."

"So.. how'd you meet.." Dick grinned conspiratorially.

Jason cut in and stepped in front of me. "No grilling right now. She's.. just a friend... you demanded we bring dates so I just followed through."

"You don't usually care about rules, Jay Jay. If you brought Percy here along that means she's someone special..." Stephanie said, and from behind Jason I could see her raising her eyebrows suggestively.

"Let's not forget Tim.." Dick pushed in. "I'm in shock, a date??!"

"It wasn't a cover, was it?" Liz whispered to Tim, and he shook his head.
