Jason's POV

=
Monday, 7th of October

I was very distracted.

Percy was fighting for her life and I couldn't help her. I was forced to fight the Joker and his goons.

I had ran out of ammo ages ago. I used up even the spares for my spares.

I was down to knives now.

Batman wasn't killing anyone, just knocking them out.

I didn't care if they lived or died.
They chose that life, they know the risks. And I don't want them coming back.

Percy was terrifying on a battle field. She showed no mercy to the creatures that she attacked.

But it scared me how many were after her at once.

She desperately hacked her way through the mass, which exploded once her sword got deep enough into the body, dealing a fatal blow or whatever caused it to turn into golden dust.

A demigod.

Half human, half god.

Not too wild of an idea.. but it made so much sense.

No wonder she looked like a goddess.

She was.

Partly.

Doesn't matter.

I am years out of league for her.

The good thing was, I don't care.

Well I care a little bit, but what does it matter if she feels the way I do?

I stumbled a few steps, catching myself as Dick-Nightwing- shoved into me, saving me from a stray bullet.

"Hey!" I glare.

"Stop staring at her, you're going to get yourself killed!"

"I'm not staring!"

Stab

"Yes you are!"

Whack

"No-" I stab another goon "I'm not!"

"You're head over heels for her!" Nightwing takes another goon down with his Escrima sticks.

"Maybe I am! But I'm not distracted!"

"Ha! You admit-"

My eyes drift back to Percy. She had help now, it seems aqua Man stepped in.

I tuned Nightwing out, fighting by his side with his constant chatter.

Why did everyone in this family taunt the enemies? Like this isn't a normal situation, this was a battle, and here he is telling every goon that he's bald or that he has a double chin before he knocks them unconscious and leaves them to be trampled upon.. and probably suffer serious brain injuries.
