The soft hum of a television filled the small living room, accompanied by the scent of freshly popped popcorn. Douma was sprawled across the couch, his legs tucked under him, a massive bowl of popcorn balanced precariously on his lap. The lights were dim, the atmosphere cozy but the energy in the room was anything but calm.

"Akaza-dono!" Douma called, his voice sing-songy and playful. "Come on, the movie's about to start! I made popcorn!" He wiggled the bowl in the air for emphasis.

From the kitchen, Akaza's gruff voice echoed. "I'm not watching some stupid movie with you, Douma!"

Douma gasped dramatically, clutching his chest as if wounded. "Stupid? How could you say that? This is like cinema, Akaza-dono. Art! Culture!" He popped a kernel into his mouth, grinning. "Besides, you promised."

"I didn't promise anything." Akaza muttered, walking into the living room with a scowl. He looked at Douma, lounging on the couch with his usual carefree demeanor and felt his irritation spike. "Why are you even so obsessed with these things?"

"Because its fun!" Douma replied, patting the empty space beside him. "Now sit, sit! We're watching a comedy tonight. Perfect for a grump like you."

Akaza rolled his eyes but begrudgingly sat down, keeping a noticeable distance between them. "This better not be a waste of time."

Douma smirked. "Oh, you'll love it. There's action, there's laughter...and maybe even a bit of romance."

"Romance?" Akaza's glare sharpened. "I swear if this is some sappy love story-"

"It's not!" Douma cut in, holding up his hands defensively. "It's just a little sprinkle of love, that's all. Now hush, it's starting."

The movie began and as expected, Douma was immediately engrossed, laughing loudly at every joke and gasping dramatically during the action scenes. Akaza, on the other hand, sat stiffly with arms crossed, his expression stoic. Occasionally, his lips twitched, betraying the fact that he found some parts amusing.

Halfway through, Douma leaned over, offering the bowl of popcorn. "Want some?"

"No."

"Come on, don't be shy. It's buttery and delicious!"

Akaza shot him a glare. "I said no."

Douma shrugged, pulling the bowl back. "Suit yourself. More for me."

Moments later, the romantic subplot of the movie took center stage. The male lead leaned in for a kiss and Douma sighed dreamily. "So sweet, isn't it? Makes you think about your own love life."

Akaza groaned. "I don't have a love life and I don't want one."

"Oh, Akaza-dono.." Douma teased, resting his chin on his hand as he turned to face him. "So lonely, so grumpy. Don't you ever want someone to cuddle with on nights like this?"

"No." Akaza snapped, his ears turning red. "And stop looking at me like that."

Douma grinned, clearly enjoying himself. "Like what?"

"Like that!" Akaza pointed at him, his glare intensifying. "You're being annoying."

"I'm always annoying" Douma replied cheerfully. "It's part of my charm."

Akaza groaned again, leaning back against the couch. "I don't know why I put up with you."

"Because you secretly like me~" Douma said, winking.

"Absolutely not."

As the movie reached its climax, Douma suddenly leaned closer, his mischievous smile returning. "Hey, Akaza-dono..."

"What now?" Akaza grumbled, not bothering to look at him.

"If you were in a romantic movie, who would you kiss in the rain?"

Akaza froze, his eyes narrowing as he slowly turned to Douma. "What kind of question is that?"

"A fun one!" Douma replied, his tone light and teasing. "Come on, answer!"

"I wouldn't kiss anyone" Akaza snapped, his face growing redder by the second.

Douma pouted. "You're no fun."

"I don't need to be fun."

Douma hummed thoughtfully, then leaned even closer, invading Akaza's personal space. "What about me?"

Akaza's eyes widened. "What?!"

"You heard me." Douma's grin turned wicked. "Would you kiss me?"

"Absolutely not!" Akaza shouted, his voice louder than intended.

Douma laughed, throwing his head back. "You're so easy to rile up, Akaza-dono. It's adorable."

"Shut up" Akaza muttered, crossing his arms tightly over his chest.

Douma leaned back, a satisfied smile on his face. "One day, Akaza-dono. One day you'll admit you secretly enjoy my company."

"Not in a million years."

Douma chuckled, popping another kernel of popcorn into his mouth. "We'll see about that."

As the credits rolled, Douma turned to Akaza, his expression softening just a bit. "Thanks for watching with me."

Akaza glanced at him, surprised by the sincerity in his voice. He looked away quickly, muttering, "Whatever."

Douma smiled, leaning back against the couch. "Same time tomorrow?"

Akaza didn't answer but he didn't say no either.

As the movie credits faded and the room fell quiet, Douma stretched his arms dramatically, yawning. "Ah, what a masterpiece. Don't you think, Akaza-dono?"

Akaza didn't respond, his gaze fixed on the blank television screen as if deep in thought. Douma tilted his head, curious and leaned in slightly. "Akaza-dono? Cat got your tongue?"

Before Akaza could retort, Douma closed the gap between them, resting his chin on Akaza's shoulder..his mischievous smile back. "You know.." he said softly, "If we were in one of those romantic movies, I think we'd steal the show."

Akaza stiffened, his ears turning red again. "Get off me, Douma."

Douma chuckled but didn't move, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You're fun to tease, but... you're also fun to be around, Akaza-dono."

Akaza turned to glare at him, only to realize how close Douma's face was. His breath hitched and before he could process it, Douma leaned in, brushing his lips against Akaza's cheek.

Akaza froze, his entire body tensing as Douma pulled back, grinning playfully. "Goodnight kiss~" he said, winking. "Now you're officially a romantic movie character."

"You!-" Akaza's voice was caught between anger and shock. "You're insane!"

"And you're adorable" Douma countered, standing up and stretching. "Well, I'll leave you to process your feelings. Sweet dreams, Akaza-dono~"

As Douma sauntered out of the room, humming a tune, Akaza sat frozen on the couch, his face burning. He touched his cheek absentmindedly, his thoughts a whirlwind.

"I hate him." Akaza muttered under his breath, though the corners of his mouth twitched upward in spite of himself. "I really hate him!"

From the doorway, Douma peeked back, his grin widening. "Love you too, Akaza-dono!"

"...."
