Douma hummed a cheerful tune as he adjusted the camera hanging around his neck. The two of them were walking through a bustling city street, surrounded by neon signs and towering skyscrapers. Akaza, on the other hand, trailed behind with an irritated scowl..his hands shoved deep into his hoodie pockets.
“Akaza-dono, you’re sulking again!” Douma said, spinning on his heel to snap a photo of Akaza’s grumpy face.
“Stop calling me that” Akaza replied. “And stop taking pictures of me!”
“Oh but you look so charming when you’re angry!” Douma teased, glancing at the screen of his camera. “Such raw emotion! It’s art!”
“Delete it.”
“No can do.” Douma wagged a finger playfully. “You’re my muse today!”
“I’m not your anything!” Akaza snapped, his cheeks faintly tinged with pink.
“Hmm, you say that but you haven’t left yet~” Douma replied, his voice dripping with faux innocence.
Akaza groaned. “I promised Kokushibou I’d keep an eye on you, not that I’d put up with your nonsense!”
“Then do both!” Douma beamed, pulling Akaza toward a brightly lit café. “Let’s grab some coffee. You look like you need it.”
Inside the café, Douma ordered a ridiculously sweet drink topped with whipped cream and sprinkles while Akaza settled for black coffee.
“Here, let me get a photo of you with your coffee!” Douma said, raising his camera.
“No.”
“Too late!” The camera clicked, capturing Akaza mid-glare.
“Douma...” Akaza said slowly, his voice laced with barely restrained fury, “I swear, if you take one more picture-”
“You’ll what?” Douma interrupted, leaning forward with a mischievous grin. “Kiss me?”
The question hung in the air, and for a moment, Akaza was too stunned to respond. “W-what?!” Akaza finally sputtered, his voice loud enough to draw a few curious glances from nearby tables.
Douma giggled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Oh..come on, Akaza-dono. Don’t tell me you’ve never thought about it.”
“You’re annoying....” Akaza muttered, his face turning a deep shade of red as he looked away.
“Aw, you’re blushing!” Douma teased, leaning closer. “Shut up.” Akaza looking away, but his voice lacked its usual venom. _
Later..as they wandered through a park illuminated by fairy lights, Douma stopped to take more pictures.
“Hold still" he said, focusing his camera on Akaza.
“I said no more pictures!” Akaza snapped, swatting at the camera.
“Fine, fine” Douma relented, lowering the device. But then, with a sly grin..he leaned in and planted a quick kiss on Akaza’s cheek.
Akaza froze. “What…what the hell was that?!”
“A moment worth capturing” Douma said with a wink, snapping a mental picture of Akaza’s flustered expression.
“I swear I'll kick your ass-” Akaza muttered, turning away to hide his burning face.
“I wouldn't mind~” Douma replied, looping his arm through Akaza’s as they continued walking. For all his grumbling, Akaza didn’t pull away..
