" No.. You stay with Alec in this room.. He might wake up anytime, he will definitely look for you once he wakes up .. So I will wait outside.." Maryse said to Magnus. This is the first time Maryse has a real calm talk with Magnus without thinking bad about him..
"he won't.. Catarina said he might take 8 to 10 hours to wake up because of the sedation. So stay… This is the only safe place I could offer you both right now..." Magnus requested ..Maryse felt that pain through magnus's words.. It was clear he was blaming himself for everything that happened..
Camille literally gave him a lifetime fear.. He was close to losing his Alec and that scares the shit out of him..
"Does Izzy know all these?" Magnus asked hesitantly..
"I just talked with her on the phone , she is taking the night flight from Milan" Maryse said.. Magnus closed his eyes on remembering that he was the one who send Izzy in behalf of him to attend the meeting
"Yes I forgot that I sent her to Italy " Magnus said on remembering that..
"I don't want to inform anyone else.. Alec never gonna like that, I don't want to unease Alec" she said and that makes sense "and you as well" maryse added and it was True she doesn't want Alec's friend to corner magnus and blame him for what happened to Alec just like maryse does.. She saw how much Magnus loves her son so she doesn't want to ruin it now..
"I don't care if anyone blames me.. I am even ready to face whatever it is.. But inform Alec's friends , he might feel better after he meets Jace or Clary or even Santi." Magnus said and walked outside without staying a minute.. He doesn't know why he says that but deep down he feels like he messed up and Alec will never gonna be the same and he never gonna love the way he does before so the least he wants to do is to go in front of alec ….
Maryse just nodded and took the couch.. She was watching Alec breathing normally and that's the only thing that makes her feel alive..
Magnus sat on the chair outside, he was staring at the wall without even blinking and his eyes filled with tears without his knowledge, every single moment he spent with that baby bump flashing in front of his eyes.. He didn't know what to say because he promised that he would take care of them but he failed..
"Will Alec forgive me?" That's the question running in his head for all this time..
Magnus threw his head back on the wall and rested his back on the chair.. He still remembers how happy Alec was just to have this baby with him . Alec always teases Magnus by saying" if it's not for this baby you wouldn't dare to live with me"Alec used to play with such words just to provoke Magnus but it was deeply wounded in Magnus's soul and that wound made him realize Alec is not just anyone but his destiny..
He closed his eyes out of tiredness, a drop of tear ran from the corner of his eyes to his ears.. He swallowed hard and tried to relax,he knew it's not gonna happen but he had no other option.. But in the middle of the night Magnus could recognize Raphael wasn't there.. He was worried about him as well..so he searched for him, he frowned when he couldn't find him around , he took a lazy walk around the hospital looking for Raphael.. He saw Raphael sitting in the same chair in the waiting room for almost 5 hrs without moving and not knowing what to do… He was staring at the empty floor and his face was red from crying.…
"Raphy!!" Magnus called his voice hoarse.. Those voices shaken Raphael from his own guilt..
Raphael finally looked at Magnus, he couldn't control his tears, he just ran to him and hugged him tight. Magnus knows Raphael very well. Just like magnus, Raphael also took the blame this time.. "I should have arranged the securities better.. I should have seen this coming.. You ask me to take care of this, you trusted me and I failed for the 2nd time, just like.. Just like I did with aurora.. I don't know why you still trust me??" Raphael cried his eyes out.
