   LAUREN MARTIN was the girl that would go down in history. She was an untouchable force of nature that played by her own rules. If an unfortunate soul got in her way, immediate death is what they would wish for instead of facing her wrath. God help anyone who disrespected her.

LAUREN MARTIN used to be so ethereal and jubilant, but now the petals of her innocence have wilted by the hands of another. Broken was an understatement. She knew the minute her hands drenched in innocent blood there was no way she could piece herself together. Or was it when her skin stained of purple and green by the hands of the man she wished to forget? She could never remember.

   LAUREN MARTIN was the villain, the monster, the antagonist of her story. Pain and suffering changed her, she was a child thrusted into war before she had the chance to say goodbye to her innocence. But she finally met the hero of her story. Aren't the tales so simple? Hero meets villain, hero eliminates villain, hero wins. It was so simple.

Until it suddenly wasn't.

   Lauren was the villain, and Carl was the hero. Until the hero met the villain and changed the story.
