Chapter 11

Riley's POV
I'm hanging out in hidalgos with Lillian and Courtney before dance and I can't get my and James breakup yesterday out of my mind. I know that in half an hour I've got to put on a brave face and ignore the awkward atmosphere throughout dance. Eldon and West heard the whole breakup and half the studio probably knows by now.

"Ri you've been nursing that coffee for 15 minutes, drink something sweetie" Courtney gushes. They both know how hard I've taken I break up, I love James, I really do but he's not the same person I fell in love with.  He chose popularity over me. That's hard.
"Riley how about that guy, Tony? Total bad boy and perfect rebound?" Lillian offers
"Nah don't Ri, I heard he was the one peddling your ex cigarettes and booze at the party" Courtney sighs and Lillian's eyes widen in agreement.
"How about Levi? He's in my psychology class. Mysterious musician, and pretty cute. He's friends with Tony but not a smoker" Lillian suggests next
"Maybe" I sigh, truth is I don't want to move on
"Ooh I know! Liam, he's super cute, football team..." Courtney starts and I just stare at her shocked
"And one of James' best friends! No way, not gonna be that girl" I gasp, I can't hurt James like that
"Crap I've got to go, dance is starting" I sigh, knowing the drama ahead of me. I hug them both and run upstairs to the studio

I'm met by Michelle and Giselle hugging me, Steph saying she'll kill James and Cierra being really confused, she's new so has no idea about TNS drama.
"Guys it's fine, I've moved on" I giggle at all their reactions, heading to the cubbies. I'm about to turn my phone off when a message pops up from Levi

Hey Riley, Court and Lil texted me, I know they did it without permission ;) but wanna go out tonight?
Levi ;))

"And looks like I've got a date tonight" I exclaim with a giggle
"Congrats Ri, you deserve it" Steph grins, looking at someone behind me
I turn around confused, and see James stood there. We make brief eye contact, I can't deny I feel something, but then he looks away and over to the boys.
I say I've moved on but I haven't, and I don't think I ever will...James was my first love and nothing will stop how I feel about him.

James POV
I head over to Noah and West, shocked by what I just heard, I'm not surprised that people are asking Ri already but I can't believe she said yes.
"How are you bro" West asks, caring for once
"She's already got a date" I sigh, shocked
"Dude she moves fast" Noah chuckles but I cut him off with a glare
"You've got no idea how many guys want her at school man. It was a matter of time" I sigh, feeling hopeless
"Well maybe you should move on" Max says behind me...Wait Max spoke?
"He's right bro" West says in agreement
"No man. I'm going to get her back, no matter how long it takes" I tell them. It's true, I looked into Riley's gorgeous big brown eyes and I know we both felt something, the feelings are still there. I'm going to get her back, no matter how long I have to wait.
