SUMMARY : Brianna MacKenzie, still grappling with the loss of her husband, Roger, throws herself into her work restoring Lallybroch and raising their children, now as a single mother.
During renovations, she discovers a hidden chamber, where she finds a strange artifact ━ a weathered ring humming with an unnatural energy. Her touch activates it, causing a surge of power that rips a hole in time and space, depositing a battered and confused Time Lord and his damaged TARDIS into her present.
