Last of Us S2 Ep4

So once again, here is our reaction to ep 4:

Josh Peck Appears

RJ: What the shit?! Why is Josh Peck here? Now I can't take the show serious!
Slinky: Who's Josh Peck?
RJ: Oh, that's right. You're weren't a Nickelodeon kid.

Issac shows up

Slinky: Is that Issac?
RJ: Yeah, it is. Seems like they're giving him some backstory.
Slinky: Good, maybe I won't forget him then.

Seeing Day One title
RJ: The dreaded words
Slinky: *sinkers*

Dina gets on the horse, after finding something in an abandoned building
Slinky: You feeling like a burden?
RJ: *snorts*

Dina giving Ellie warning about WLF painting a bit ass sign
RJ: Oh my God, Dina's actually being smart!
Slinky: She's definitely the brains of this operation.

Ellie opens a guitar case.
RJ: Oh how convenient a perfectly preserved guitar!
Slinky: *laughs*

Full frontal man nudity
Slinky: A Warning would've been nice, Neil! I'm eating! *Munches on a carrot*

Issac and a Scar arguing who started the fight
RJ: How about both of y'all suck?
Slinky: *Laughs*

Dina saying "what the fuck is wrong with Seattle?"
Slinky: What's isn't wrong with Seattle?
RJ: Yeah, in both pre and post apocalypse

Dina showing off her listening powers
RJ: Dina, that's one amazing superpower you got there!

Ellie looking scared as her and Dina getting surrounded by infected in the train

RJ: Did Bella go to the same acting school as Rachel Zeigler with protruding her lower jaw out to look scared or angry?
Slinky: That's what I was just thinking!

Ellie showing she's immune to Dina and Dina walking up to her

Dina: Ellie....
RJ: I'm pregnant.
Dina: I'm pregnant.
RJ: I WAS JUST JOKING!

The girls start to make out and get it on.
Slinky: Really?! Now?! While I'm eating!!

Dina and Ellie continue making out.

Slinky: Now I'm gonna cheat on my boyfriend!
RJ: Apparently saying that you're immune and the other saying you're pregnant really gets you hot and bothered.
Slinky: Yeah, that's what Dean and your y/n do!
RJ: *chuckles* yeah, Dean saying he's immune to something and y/n says she pregnant, boom! Sexy time!

Sex scene ends
Slinky: Now I'm scared for the boat scene.

Slinky: *talks about being traumatized by the boat scene in the game*
Ellie: I'm gonna be a dad!
RJ: Oh, God! Did you just hear what she said?!
Slinky: Yeah, I had subtitles on. 😐

Ellie and Dina argue about Dina continuing to join her on her quest
Slinky: I need my paycheck

So here is our critiques for this episode:

This episode is very mixed, leaning more towards negative.

The stuff with Issac is good and intense.

Dina is actually smarter than her game counterpart but they've made Ellie come off as an idiot.

Ellie doesn't seem really into the revenge quest, she's acting like she's on a field trip.

Still think not having spores in this show is dumb, as it was a big deal for when Dina finds out Ellie is immune, but it seems they are gonna introduce them next episode.

Dina's reaction to finding out Ellie is immune is better in the game.

The "I'm pregnant" moment still comes off as Dina trying to one up Ellie after she tells her "I'm immune".

The sex scene between Ellie and Dina came out of nowhere and was unnecessary and also a bit clunky. And, it seems people are forgetting, but....DINA HAS NOW CHEATED ON JESSE!!!

This episode was just okay at first but those last ten minutes just made it bad cause like we said, the sex scene came out of nowhere and felt very misplaced. And the sad thing is this episode made, at least me, miss and appreciate the game more. And I'm not a huge fan of the sequel.

And I guess they're not making Ellie as rage filled as she is in the game as they're wanting her to be likable but they already made her unlikable in the first episode of this season. And also, wasn't that the point on making her unlikable in the game? Hmm, Neil?! 🤨
