My Thoughts on The Last of Us pt. 2 Story Trailer

Oooohhh boy, this has been some week for fans of TLOU. What with the second delay and then the big leak about plot points of the game, which was caused by hackers according to Sony. And now a once most anticipated game has now become the most hated.

I don't think I've ever heard of a game get so much hate as this one does. The closest one I would say is Fallout 76.

But regardless of the leaks and the hate that this game is getting, I'm still gonna play this game and experience the story myself. So far I've done good on avoiding the leaks and I intend to keep avoiding them until I complete the game.

I've already talked about what I thought of the leaks but here is something I want to say. I've heard that people have sent death threats to the workers of Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann. Regardless of what you think of the story, that is NO excuse to wish death upon someone.

That is so messed up!

This is one of the reasons I hate social media, it has given people, who don't need it and act like this, a voice.

But anyway, moving on.

I kinda wanted to say my thoughts on the trailer and man, even though I am nervous, I am pretty excited more so for the Gameplay of the game. From what we see, this game is gonna be brutal.

I also liked we saw Joel more in this trailer, my man looks so freaking good!

And that first shot of Joel and Ellie from the first game, with the upgraded next-gen look, looked fantastic and it felt a bit nostalgic.

And for a story trailer, it was still vague on what the story is. It didn't really show us anything new for story. We just know something awful happened and Ellie goes on a quest of revenge.

I don't know if she's getting revenge for the death of Dina or maybe for the attack on Jackson....or maybe Ellie has a dog and these people came in and killed the dog, I don't know lol. (Come on, this game is about revenge I had to put in a John Wick joke lol)

Although that one shot of Ellie covered in blood and looking really, really distressed and upset has got me worried on what that scene is and who is on the ground as you can clearly see a hand was on her arm before it slide down off of her arm.

I'm also gonna admit that this game looks beautiful! And the characters all look fantastic!

But all in all, even with this large leak hanging over the fans, I still think that the trailer was really good. It was intense, suspenseful and intriguing and even with me worried it's still got me excited for the game.

If you are one of those people that have read the leaks, didn't like what you read and are somehow mad that I'm excited for it, that's on you guys! Like I said, I have stayed away from the leaks and I intend to keep it that way.

And I don't want any name calling or hateful comments about it either, I'm just a girl that's a fan of the 1st game and I'm just excited for this sequel. I have been waiting for this game since they announced it back in 2016.

Who knows? I might end up hating the game after I play it or I might like it. (My brother has read the leaks and he said I'm probably not gonna like it) But, again, I don't know, I'll find out June 19!

After I play it, I will put up my thoughts and review of the game on this book once I beat it.

Plus from what I've heard, the leaks might not be all true. I was watching a video of this guy and he knows the leaks and he said that certain scenes in the new trailer he had seen but they were completely different. So he said maybe Sony and Naughty Dog are right in saying don't believe what you have heard.

And I've also heard that certain leaks were taking out of context and you need to play the full game to get the full extent of the story.

But we will see.

Now as for doing a fan fic of this game, it really depends if I like the game or not. I want to do it but if it does end up that I hate the game, I might not do it. We will just have to wait and see.

So as for now, that is still the plan on doing the sequel to both my Joel x Reader fan fic and my Male!Ellie x Reader fan fic. But again I'll have to play the game.

Anyway those are my thoughts on the trailer, I hope you guys are excited as me about it. Let me know what you guys thought of the trailer! And please let's be kind to one another.
