"Okay, hands on the wheel at ten and two" Kira instructed.

"Actually the recommended position is now nine and three" Lydia interjected with her smart ass knowledge. "At ten and two a deployed airbag could break your thumbs" she informed.

"Mine would heal" Malia reminded.

"Save your strength" Lydia shrugged.

"And try not to destroy your beautiful new car" I added.

"Nine and three" Lydia moved Malia's hand positions.

She turned the ignition and the car started to move.

"Alright, just ease into it" Kira said. "Good, good okay. There you go"

"Please shut up" Malia said, eyes glued to the road.

She nodded. "No problem. Shutting up"

I frowned as Malia started to drive onto the grass.

"Uh, other way" I said. My cousin ignored me. "Other way. Malia"

"We are now off the road, this is not the road" Lydia pointed out.

"Other way" I repeated with a groan.

"Malia, please go the other way" Kira said nervously.

The car started to beep obnoxiously, obviously recognising that we were about to smash into a tree.

"What is that? What is beeping?" Malia asked cluelessly.

"The car's telling you not to run into the tree" I replied. "Turn the wheel"

My cousin still continued to drive towards the tree, making no indication that she was actually going to turn the wheel.

Considering that Lydia can't heal like we can, a dangerous car crash isn't exactly going to be a good option.

"Malia!" I yelled.

Finally, she turned the wheel and I sighed in relief.

"And try to stay on the actual road" Kira said.

Malia suddenly started turning the car round in circles.

"Uh okay, this is called a u-turn" I said.

Why the hell did I agree to this.

"You said turn the wheel" she muttered.

"Maybe you should press a little harder on the gas" Lydia said.

I knew Lydia would regret saying that because Malia slammed her foot into the gas pedal, which sent us falling back into our seats.

"Whoa! Okay, turn up here" Lydia instructed. Malia started to make a sharp turn.

"No, no, no. Slowly, slowly" I said. "Go"

I sat back in my seat, exchanging a glance with Kira.

"Anybody wanna tell me where we're going?" Malia asked.

"The school" Lydia replied quickly. "We can finish parking practice in the lot"

"Lydia, we're actually heading downtown" I pointed out.

"What?" She frowned.

"If we want to go to the school we should do a U-turn. Shouldn't we?" Kira said.

"No" Lydia sighed. "Keep going"

"You sure?" Malia asked.

"Yes. We're almost there"
