He's cunning, deceiving and a little bit rough around the edges.
She's smart, royalty and tougher than she looks.
When he captures her, it's a game of cat and mouse, but the roles are ever-changing.
One princess.
One pirate.
One ship.
One incredib...
It was the next day, after stargazing. It had been a magical experience. Hook had laid down a blanket and we both stretched out on top of it. Gazing up at the sky, I felt at peace. I was next to the most deep and soulful guy I knew. I glanced over at him, to find him staring back at me.
"Thank you, Bethany. I don't know how you did it so fast, but you made me open up. Nobody since her has been able to do such a thing. I just don't trust anyone anymore."
"Never a problem, Hook. I care about you, and I always will. I know that this will take time though, so take as much time as you need, okay?" I said.
He nodded, and reached out for my hand. Holding hands, we both looked back at the stars. A smile creeped up on my face as I let my mind drift into deep thought.
Killian was here, with me. He cared about me, too. I was the luckiest girl ever to have someone like him care about me.
After stargazing we went back down to our rooms and talked into the night, before we slipped into a deep sleep. I woke up next to him and grinned. He was so beautiful and peaceful. It was a nice change to his almost always stubborn expression. I nudged him awake.
"Do you really feel that way about me?" I asked. He seemed surprised with my question, but answered it immediately.
"Of course, love. Why do you ask?"
"It's just that I find it so hard to believe that someone like you, someone so incredible, could ever like me. It's like I said in the diary entry, I'm a troll."
Killian frowned. "Don't be ridiculous. You are not a troll in the slightest, we've been over this. Please trust me. I do like you, and you are very special to me. You're the one person I've been able to open my heart up to since her. Now that you've found your place in my life, I can't imagine it without you."
A blush crept up onto my cheeks. "Thank you for kidnapping me, Killian. I don't think I would've known these feelings without you showing me."
"Neither would I, Beth."
"What about Clarissa?" I inquired.
"Even though her and I had more than we do at this moment in time, I can feel myself beginning to care more and more for you. I'm throwing my entire self into this right now, while throwing caution to the wind. I'm acting crazy, but I guess that's what happens. I'm giving you my heart, and trusting that you don't break it. I can't be broken again. Not like that."
"I would never hurt you like that. You mean too much to me, okay? We'll be a happy couple, and you'll be treated like you should've been by her." I said.
A blush formed on his cheeks this time. It was endearing.
"I had one of my men make you this." Killian said, fishing something out of his bedside drawer.
It was a long chain with a heart-shaped locket in the middle. On the back, was an engraving.
Together. It read.
"Killian, it's beautiful. I love it. Thank you." My eyes were glistening with tears, but I held them in.
"It is beautiful, like you. I want you to be happy here, with me. I want to show you that I am more than just greedy and ill-mannered."
"Oh Killian, I already know that, and I am happy here. Can you put this on me?" I asked.
He grabbed the locket from my hands and clasped it around my neck. The cool metal froze my bare neck.
"There, perfect."
It sat just below my collarbone, shining when the sun hit it.
"You didn't even look on the inside." He stated, and then pulled it open for me to look inside.
On the inside, was the cutest picture. It was of him, smiling and looking off to the side. His shirt was undone at the top and he wore his favourite necklace.

I wrapped my arms around him and thanked him a million times. It was the most charming piece of jewelry I had ever been given, and I have had princes trying to win me over with countless pieces of jewelry.
He pulled me close to him and we stayed there for a little, just wrapped up in each other.
"Come on, we better get up or else the crew is going to wonder what happened to us." Hook said.
"If we must. I happen to like it here, in your arms."
He chuckled, then pulled me up and out of the bed.
