Countdown to the wedding: 5 days
I ran upstairs and packed my stuff. I knew my dad would freak out if I disappeared again, especially since it's 5 days until the wedding. But he'd have to deal with it. I was going to find the love of my life. I was going to find Hook. And hopefully, another way to save our kingdom.
After my stuff was packed, I bounded out the front door of the castle and made my way to a place I knew so well. After hours of walking, I finally reached my destination. The park where Killian and I had had the picnic.
Finally, I spotted a familiar face. I ran over to him and leapt into his arms. "Killian!" He swung me around and held me tight. "I made a big mistake Killian. I belong here, with you. I don't care if we're from two separate worlds, being princess and pirate and all. We belong together." A large smile spread across his lips. "Well I'm glad to see you've finally come to your senses, love." He teased. I hit him playfully and in response he pulled me in close and kissed me on the lips.
"It's great to see you again, Bethany." "It's great to be here again. With you, in this park. But I have to ask you a question." I knew that the next few words out of my mouth would surprise him, and they'd be somewhat hard to say, but I needed to say them. "Anything." He said. "Okay first, hear me out." He nodded. "Hook, will you marry me?" His eyes grew wide and he took a small step back. I grabbed his arms and pulled him back towards me. "Hook, please, listen to me. You love me, right?" "Of course Bethany, why would you even have to ask?" He replied. "And you would do anything for me?" He nodded. "Okay, now this is why I asked you to marry me."
And so I began my story. "My kingdom is in grave danger of bankruptcy, and only a fortune can save it. My dad planned for me to be married to a man I don't even love in 5 days, so our town can be saved. But I figured, why marry a man I don't love with a fortune, when I can marry a man I do love, who also has a fortune, whether it be stolen or not." Hook looked at me.
"Beth, I know you have good intentions with this, but are you sure this is what you really want? Getting married, it's a big responsibility. And to me? I don't have the best past with your town." He sighed. "Hook this is all that I want. And who cares about your past? You've changed. You've become such a sweet, caring guy, whom I've fallen in love with." He looked back at me and nodded. "Okay, yes. Bethany, I'll marry you." I jumped up and down with joy.
Now we just needed to figure out how to tell my father...
