We sailed home in silence. I, being too scared to say anything, and Hook, probably worried he'd hurt me. Eventually, the silence became unbearable.

"Hook? Do you hate me?" I asked. He looked at me in shock. "No! Beth, why would you even think that?" I looked out on the sea. "Because we haven't spoken a word to each other since we left the port and because I decided to go home." He made his way over to me. "I don't hate you, Beth. It was a personal choice that you made. Sure I want you to stay, but I need to accept the fact that you want to leave." I remained silent for the rest of the boat ride.

When we got to the port of my island, Hook helped me ashore. I turned back to face the pirate I had fallen in love with, for the very last time. "Goodbye Hook." A tear fell down onto my cheek. He waved. "Goodbye Beth." I began to walk away when I dropped my bags and ran back to him, wrapping my arms around him. "I'll never forget you." I mumbled into his leather jacket. "I'll never forget you either." He said softly. I pulled away from the embrace, walked back to my luggage, and made my way to my castle. With not another glance back.
