Okay, I know I'm not the girliest, but I still have a undying dream to...Wear a really nice dress!
Today's the day!
Me and Peter are driving down to the city to go and shop with his mom for her wedding!
SO EXCITED!
Im going to see and touch and feel different wedding dresses at the fingertips. This may be hard to believe but I've never seen a wedding dress up close before.
Peter holds my hand in my lap as he parks the car into the parking lot.
There's a slight muscle squeeze from him and I run my thumb up his palm.
"Selena, I know that we're here for my Mom, but...I'd like you to look around too."
"I plan on it Peter." I smirk as I climb out.
He smiles back and it was a breeze of air that reminded me of the outside world. It's beautiful.
Mrs.Codat climbs out of her black sedan car with Hailey behind her.
"Wooohooo! We're here!!" Mrs. Codat shouts to the world.
"I cant wait to get inside!" Hailey gushes as she runs inside the bridal store.
"Me too." Peter whispers.
I turn my head and see His gaze looking at a wedding dress in the window.
"Let's go in." His mother leads.
As my feet slowly walk beside Peter, I suddenly feel another arm around me. I turn to see Hailey smiling at us.
"Oh Selena, I can't tell you how excited I am for you-"
"HAILEY." Peter sternly interrupts.
I watch her eyes look at him and curiosity runs through my veins.
"What?" her eyes scrunch.
"Hailey, why don't you walk with Mom."
She runs up to her mom in a pool of wedding dresses surrounding her.
I plead Peter with my eyes to tell me what that was all about, but he ignores it.
"Peter-"
"Anything look interesting?"
"Pete-"
"Look at the lace on that one."
"Peter-"
"I mean look-"
"Pete, don't ignore me, that just pisses me off."
He remains silent as we continue to stand there.
"What aren't you telling me?"
I stare right into his deep brown eyes and beg him to answer.
"What's in the blue bag?"
"I'm sorry Sel, I cant tell you"
"I thought we could tell each other anything?"
"We can-"
"But you can't?"
"Selena, no, just-"
"Peter... you know everything about me, but I cant learn this one new thing about you?"
"Let's just wait till we get home, I promise I'll come out with it then."
It hurt, a suffering pain inside me grows colder and colder. A tear lets lose down my cheek and he wipes it away for me.
"Sel, don't cry, please, I'll tell you when we get home, just not in front of Hailey."
"Pete, just tell me that were okay, tell me that were perfect and I shouldn't worry."
He pulls me in and wraps his warm strengthening arms around me.
"I love you Sel, I'm not leaving you, and there's no need for any more perfection."
"Okay." I huff out into him.
I breathe in his meadowy cologne and all my doubts go away.
"Let's go look at dresses."
And just like that, we were back to being perfect.
