Steph pov:

As I walked into the airport. I turned around and saw Jonathan. He look so tired, and so sad. He smiled a fake smile and a short wave. After that he put his hands in his pockets watching me and waiting for me to turn around. I smiled and turned around.

As I looked back after I go on the escalator. He wasn't there.

~~~~~
I woke up on the plane right as it landed.
Phew
Grabbing my bags and heading towards my car that was waiting.
I was doing an interview tomorrow evening on "good day Dallas" (idk)
Tonight I was going to a party. For my friend Sarah. From Chicago, she got married after secretly dating a hockey player from Dallas. Small world, huh? (She was in the first book for a few chapters)
As I hopped in, I looked towards the city and stared in 'aw'
It was beautiful,quite extraordinary
I finally reached the hotel and took my bags from the driver. Who I thanked and walked inside to the front desk.
"Stephanie wisnieski" I said. She nodded and handed me the hotel key.
I thanked her and made my way upstairs.
Opening the door and instantly running to my bed and falling down on it.
It was perfect.
My phone dinged.
"Johnny boy✨❤️"
"Did you land yet?" He texted.
I opened up my phone and replied
"About 20 minutes ago" I texted that.
He read but didn't reply.
Strange
The clock read 6:05. The part started at 8:30 but I would be going at 9:00.
I decided to take a shower, blow dry my hair, curl it and wear my signature red dress and black heels.
As I was curling my hair, I burned my finger. It left a red line. A thick one.
Sarah's ringtone blasted through the bathroom.
I picked up and put in on speaker.
"Where are you?" She asked.
"I'm curling my hair" I said.
"Your supposed to be here already" she said.
"Girl. It's 8:15 calm down" I said. She giggled.
"No one has said that yet. So thanks" she says.
"What are you wearing?" She asks.
"You'll have to wait" I say. She groans and I giggle.
"See you there" she says.
"Ya see you there"
We hanged up.
Finishing the last touches and smoothing down my dress,I grabbed my phone and clutch.
I texted Jon saying
"About to leave for party. Hope you have a lovely night" modest.
"Ok"
That was it.
I sighed and walked out of the hotel towards my car.
"Hi Gary" I said getting in.
"Hello, miss Stephanie" he says and we were off.
I hummed a song and looked out at the city.
Beautiful
"Here we go" he says. "Thank you. I will call you when I need a ride. Ok?" I said. He nodded and I got out.
