Today was the day, Will told himself as he looked in the mirror. His hair was slightly ruffled, enough for it too look good, but not too messy. He smiled. He was wearing his usual orange Camp Half-Blood shirt, but this time, there were no wrinkles, it looked new, and they matched his light brown pants perfectly.
-
He would tell him, Nico said to himself. He had actually woken up early, just to suprise his beloved crush. He loved the way his blonde hair seemed to glow in the morning rays, and the way he could swim in his eyes for days. He loved him.
-
Will walked to breakfast, barely containing his nervousness. They talked occasionally, this wouldn't be any different, he told himself. Except, this time he would be announcing to his long time crush that he was in fact, gay. What if he wasn't gay either? What if, what if, what if....
-
Nico acted in his usual habits. Glaring, scowling, hiding in shadows, all of it. He tried to seem normal, but going to breakfast definitely didn't count as his normal. It's just another day, he constantly told himself. Another day, where I tell my crush that I like him. Maybe he isn't even gay, he doesn't seem gay...but he does.
-
Will sat at his table, knee bouncing in anticipation and curiosity. Why was he here? He is never here! He told himself, starting to sweat a little.
-
Holy Hera, he is staring at me! Nico said to himself, completely oblivious to the large grin he currently wore.

He thought about the news he would soon be telling, and couldn't help but start to get even more nervous.

After breakfast, the two boys finally met up.

"H-hey, Will." Nico mumbled, silently cursing himself for stuttering."Hey, Neeks." Will grinned."Neeks?" The short one asked quizzically."It suits you." The other shrugged.

Nico groaned, wearing a soft smile. He couldn't deny that his feelings were absolute. No way in Hades would he try to hide it from himself, just others.

Will couldn't help but notice Nico's smile, and he liked it. He liked the fact that he could make Nico smile. He couldn't wait to tell him, to finally get the weight off of his tanned chest.

"Will?" The brunette waved his pale hand infront of him. Will blinked a few times before smiling.

"Yeah, sorry," Will ran his hand through his golden locks. "I have something to tell you, but I would prefer if we did it in a more private location."

Nico nodded, not able to trust himself with words. Did Will feel the same? No, he couldn't! They were complete opposites. But as we all know, opposites attract.

Will gently gripped Nico's cold hand and started to lead him to the side of his cabin. He knew it wasn't an ideal spot, or how he pictured it, but nobody would look really.

"So...I've wanted to tell you this for a while. actually... I've been afraid you wouldn't want to be friends anymore but I figured I should tell you." Will took a deep breath in and slowly released. "I'm gay."

Nico grinned slightly and laughed. "I don't know why it took me so long to figure it out myself. I'm gay too, I don't hate you."

Will sighed in relief. He accepted him. His best friend accept him. And he was gay too.

"I've actually been meaning to tell you something too..." The short one murmured shyly." I uh, I maybe kinda sorta like you." He looked down, a dark crimson dusting his white cheeks.

Will was shocked to say the least. Nico liked him? How could this happen? Will frowned slightly and sighed.

"Nico...I'm sorry..." He began. He'd never seen Nico move so fast, he was now facing him, a broken look plastered on it. Will new it would haunt him for weeks, maybe even years.

"I am gay, yes...but I actually like-" Nico had heard enough. He'd been through this embarrassment before, and never again would he do it.

So he pushed past him and ran straight into the darkest shadow, and left without another word.

How could he have been so naive? Of course Will wouldn't like him...Nobody does.

He collapsed on his dark bed and shook with silent sobs. He just wanted it to end, the embarrassment to end, the secrets, the lies, and maybe even himself.

He was tired of it. And he didn't care anymore.

Will was all he had.

And now he's gone.

He couldn't possibly fix up their relationship, and he didn't want to.

He slowly got up and shuffled to his bathroom. He smiled slightly, knowing Will would be the last to have seen him, even if it was under unfortunate circumstances.

He shut the door, and never came out again.

A/N

I'm really sorry this isn't as long as I wanted it to be. And a day late even though it was finished on time...

UPDATE:
Okay so originally Will was supposed to like Jake Mason ( son of Hephaestus) because that's a hunky mans right there and then Nico was supposed to get sad and then mad at himself and then do something reckless and then end up 6 feet under but I ran into issues and had to cut it short

Update 2: Maybe he never came out to anyone again? Bad wording but better ending
