"Helluva time to finally get them," said a man's voice.
"Yep," a woman agreed. "Once we're on complete lockdown, they get the girls."
Erica didn't know what was happening, where she was, or why she couldn't see anything. The last thing she could remember was a beige minivan and a high-speed car chase through residential streets.
"Lots of damage done to them," someone commented.
"They were lucky. Those two in the front were killed. Serves them right, darn rebels. That girl in the back had to have a few operations, but as you can see, she's fine now."
