It looked like I didn't had feelings....even if the dominator is a machine that give me orders, I felt nothing.
An enigmatic feeling...
I decided to visit this huge balcony, available in the lounge of the Public Safety Bureau, the sunset out there is beautiful, the gentle breeze of the city, people looked like ants from up there.
I brought a book with me "Heart Of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad, someone apparently was also interested in books...
"Takarashi, you read?"- Kogami asked approaching to the balcony
"Yes....i like to read. Well I like many things."- I answered
"Heart of darkness?" - he asked
"Yes"
"Joseph Conrad?"
"Yes"
"You're very deadpan" - he said
"I guess...it's one of my many defects."
"It maybe a defect and a virtue, depends on how you look it. In our case it's a virtue."- he told me
"Huh?"
"We're just animals, who kill by the orders of a gun. I cant say it's a great life to live."
"The man who loves his life will eventually die someday, while the one who hates his life, will keep it for eternal life."
"What?"- he asked confused
"Search for that phrase in one of your books. I doubt you don't know it."- I replied
"Takarashi, you are very enigmatic."
"You think?"- I asked as I closed my book and headed towards the exit...until I remembered that name..
"Makishima"- I whispered
"What did you say?"- Kougami asked
"Makishima"- I repeated
"Where you heard that name!? Tell me!!"- he said violently, clasping both of my arms
"Kogami, calm down!!! Let me go!!" - I said freeing form his hands
"Tell me now, Takarashi!!"
"The man I killed with the dominator....he was whispering and he shouted that name Makishima save me from this or something like that.."- Kogami got incredibly angry at the time he heard what had happened
"Who is Makishima?"
"You want to know what he did?"
"Yes"- I replied coldly
"Follow me."
