So a little warning before starting this chapter. I took the word VON from the anime Zankyou no terror. If you guys haven't seen this anime yet, well I highly recommend it ;) Enjoy the chapter :)

I slowly opened my eyes just to find myself on my couch, but...Kagari wasn't there. Where did he go?

I got up and went to the kitchen and...

"Mitsuki! Good morning! I made your breakfast. You have to eat something other than that disgusting holographic food." - He said with a repulsion expression

"Okay, okay." - I answered as I sat at the table.

We ate and laughed as we started to talk about stupid things. It was the first time I laughed at his idiot jokes. He is so stupid and naive...and I just love every single part of it.

"Mitsuki, I've never had such fun before with a person" - he said with a smile on his face

"Neither I Kagari. You..." - but my sentence was interrupted by the sound of the stress alarm

"I can't stand it anymore!" - Kagari shouted the minute he heard it. I just bursted out laughing.

We got on the police wagon. The road was very quiet as I was thinking about all the things that happened 'till that day.

"Your hands are cold." - whispered the orange-haired boy as he touched my cold hand. I immediatly felt the warmth of his. It was the only day I smiled inside that police wagon.

"This is the situation, it is a little dangerous. Our suspect is Funahara Koichi, he has a suspicion of murder of three people, he is armed and his crime coefficient...well, I don't have to tell you that, right? Don't hesitate to shoot. Kagari and Nishikawa go to the left side of the buikdung and Masaoka, Kunizuka and I to the right. Go. "- the bad-humored inspector ordered us.

It was an abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city with an exit to the coast. In fact it was surrounded by sea, so it was impossible for the suspect to escape.

The footsteps became shorter and shorter, the soft breeze that came through the great door caressed my face and my coat flapped with the intensity of the wind while my hand held the gun. Suddenly, I felt a something touching my back:

"If you move, I'll shoot you. Makishima sent me, don't be afraid, but you have to follow me. " - a male speaked and I just nodded my head.

I went where he led me, to a boat. I went at gunpoint and before I could do anything, the shouts of Kogami and Kagari were heard, but it was too late.

He turned on the boat and it moved away from there, I could see in the distance the simple silhouettes that didn't know what to do.

"We only have 'till we get to the other shore" - said the man lowering the gun

"Yes."

"He asked me to tell you that you have to think of a word."

"Word?" - I asked confused

"Yes. Three letters, which can reflect the movement to destroy the Sybil System by the enforcers, the second thing is this..." - he said stretching out his hand and handing me a small bag

"Pills and a plant?" - I asked

"He says you'll understand when you need them"

"It's okay." - I answered as I put them in my pocket. When arriving at the other shore the man made me leave at gunpoint since the enforcers, Kagari and Kogami were approaching in another boat. The man sighed and exclaimed

"I always wanted to die in these circumstances but I won't die murdered by Sybil's condemned weapons." - those were his last words before he pushed me, ran away and opened his jacket to show the bomb stuck in his body and in a blink of an eye...the light of the fire was seen and the ashes and the smoke spread.

I remained kneeling, because for some reason that day the city, from the distance, looked brighter than ever.

The beautiful lights, the calm sea and the splendor of the buildings, the city that day...was beautiful.

"Mitsuki! Are you okay!?" - Kagari cried as he wrapped me in a hug

"I'm fine." - I said returning the hug.

"Do you have hope?" - Kagari asked
"No" - I said on the outside but inside of me...I'll always have hope.

In Iceland, hope is translated as VON.

VON...
