Dianne's POV

I wake up it's sunny and it's Wednesday. It seems that today is the start of the long-awaited quest. Which means that today is my birthday.

I stretched out and was greeted by: no one.

Honestly, I was expecting people to greet me when I wake up because that's what usually happens on my birthday each year. But I guess this year was different.

I sat down on my bed, and yawned. I just can't believe that I've been here in Camp Half-Blood for a week. AND I'm having a quest already. Speaking of quests, I already packed my things yesterday with Frances. She helped me with that.

I now have t-shirts from back home, some jeans, underwear, a Camp Half Blood shirt, some socks, flip flops, a jacket, and other pieces of clothing. They are kind of plenty, but what can I say? I'm a girl!

Anyway, Frances stole me some drachmas, toiletries, clothes, and mortal money from the Camp Store, and for once, I appreciated her kleptomania.

It's almost 8:00, almost time for cabin inspection. Maybe that's why nobody greeted me. They were all busy cleaning their cabins.

"Hey, Dianne," called Wopple. Yes, his name is Wopple. "Do you mind helping us? Cabin Inspection is almost near."

"Not at all," I replied. I quickly grabbed a broom and swept. Wow, what a nice way to celebrate my birthday.

Note the sarcasm.

It's not like I'm spoiled or anything, it's just, I'm really looking forward on doing something different on my 15th birthday.

So, after Cabin Inspection, Chiron cancelled training for he called everyone because of the quest.

"The five half-bloods, please step forward," called Chiron when we finally arrived at the amphitheater.

I saw Frances and the others walking towards the center where Chiron was, so I did the same.

"All of you know about the upcoming quest that is requested by Zeus himself," said Chiron, addressing it to all half-bloods. "These five demigods were chosen, not by us, but by the prophecy. We are here, to hear the prophecy that our oracle, Rachel Elizabeth Dare shall say."

Chiron said a lot more, but I got distracted by Frances.

Frances took my hand and leaned on to me. "Happy 15th Birthday Dianne," she whispered to me. "We'll celebrate later."

I nodded my head okay.

Suddenly, Rachel's eyes became green smoke. She almost fell but another camper from the Nike cabin caught her. She then spewed out smoke from her mouth.

" Five half-bloods must unite,

Monsters that have been beaten, they must fight,

They shall trace a hero's footsteps along the way,

And a curse they shall suffer or they shall pay,

A fatal flaw shall be their end,

A broken bond they must mend,

Sacrifice is the key word of all,

Together, in the end, they will stand tall," she said in an old raspy voice. After her last word she closed her eyes, and her color became normal.

"The prophecy," stated Chiron.

"So the prophecy has been said, can we go now?" asked Frances, which made me smirk.

"Actually, if you want to, you may go," said Chiron. "But, it would be better if you take time to reflect and then go."

"Oh," said Frances.
