Ch 15 :

Yukiko's pov

". . . . she . . . ve . ."

". . . . fail . . . dead . ."

". . . . pid . . . gra. .ful . ."

I inwardly groaned , feeling a massive headache forming on my head . Those voices were annoying and loud . Why couldn't they shut up ?

"Yuki wake up !" I heard auntie's voice rang out . I didn't bother to give her a reply .

'Kuro?' I whispered out , as I appeared in front of his cage .

'I'm sorry . . .'

'W-what . . Kuro . . what happened ?' For the first time since we've met , I see Kuro crying . He wasn't facing me , but I could feel it because his sadness effected me, it made me feel sad too .

'We lost them . . . I can't find them anywhere . . '

'What about Aki ? Did I panic too much and lose him ? Oh no . .Oh god this can't be happening . .'

'No , Orochimaru destroyed them .' he growled out .

'How - what about Aki?'

'Aki was struggling but I couldn't find him fast enough to heal him , it's all my fault . . . I disappoint them and also you .'

'No . . this isn't your fault . . it's mine . . . . I- I- I'm so sorry it- '

'I want to kill him , I want to torture him , I want him to feel pain and fear !' He roared .

'K-k-kuro ?' I gasped as his sadistic laugh filled the chamber .

'Oh , trust me , we will not just torture him . Ha ! That will be too easy , we will use his own powers to attack him , to make it feel like his whole body is trying to kill him . He won't get away that easily . Even if he dies , I'll find a way to hell and rip his soul if I have to !'

'KURO ! STOP IT ! You're scaring me .' I whispered , Kuro had never acted this way before . He was always calm and wise , he was usually the one who calmed me down whenever I got panic or angry .

'So what ! They trusted me , you trusted me but I ruin it ! I shouldn't have made that decision ! Sakura could die for all I care !' He snapped , baring his teeth and finally turned his head to face me .

I would have scolded him , shouted or cursed him for that statement , if not for the miserable pair of puffy eyes, staring right into my eyes. Those eyes were so different with what I remembered , those eyes were the ones who provided me comfort when I was hurt or sad . Now it's my turn to repay him . Sakura was never there for me , Kuro was , he had always been there , always . . . . . .

'Please . . , calm down Kuro . You'll need it , we can find a way to bring them back . Just calm down , take a sleep , I'll do the rest . I'll make sure to bring them back , trust me Kuro . '

Thankfully , he listened and started to calm down . I sat down and started to stroke his large head , humming a lullaby that Mizuki used to sing to me . I stayed even after Kuro was fast asleep , just to let him feel my presence , to let him know that he's not alone .

You still have me Kuro , you're not alone . I'll stay by your side until we find a way to bring your siblings back . I promise .
