When Rory got home from work, Amy was lying on the sofa asleep, he smiled as he went over to her and kissed her on the lips, waking her up, "hey sleeping beauty".

She smiled, "hey, what time is it?"

"About half 5"

She stood up and kissed him again properly, hugging him afterwards, "I love you".

He hugged her back "I love you too".

An hour later they were sat at the dinner table eating the pasta bake that Amy had cooked.

"This is really good, Amy".

"Thanks" she smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Listen, about getting married"

Amy sighed, "Rory..."

"No just listen to me a minute, I know you said no, that you weren't ready, but maybe in the future it could be a possibility, because I would love for you to be my wife again".

She looked at him for a couple of seconds, "I'd really love that too, so in the future at the some point, it's definitely a possibility".

"I know this probably isn't the best time to talk about this, and I don't want you to get upset and start crying, but what about adopting again? Not right now obviously, but in a year or two?"

Amy looked down at her food and shook her head, "I can't".

He went over to her and knelt down, taking hold of her hand, "I get it Amy, but you might feel differently in a year or two, I want to raise a child with you, Amy, more than anything".

She looked at him and let go of his hand, picking up her plate and throwing it against the wall.

"YOU DON'T GET IT RORY" she stood up, "WE HAD A CHILD AND HE DIED, AND IT WAS MY FAULT, YOU THINK ANYONE IS GOING TO LET US ADOPT AFTER WHAT HAPPENED, IF YOU WANT A CHILD THAT BADLY THEN GO AND BE WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY GIVE YOU ONE". She put her head in her hands and started crying, dropping onto her knees on the floor.

Rory quickly went over to her and knelt down next to her, pulling her into a hug, "I'm so sorry for bringing it up Amy, ssshhhh, it's okay, it's going to be okay". He sighed tearing up and kissed her head, I'm so so sorry".
