"Amy, come on, let's go"

She came downstairs in jeans and a t shirt, "I still don't know why you won't tell me where we're going, I'm not a kid, Rory, I'm too old for surprises".

"Just trust me, okay? We've both been through a lot the past year and we've both been stressed out to the limit, I'm taking you somewhere that means a lot to me and hopefully It means a lot to you as well".

She smiled, "sounds good to me".

About half an hour later they arrived in Leadworth and started walking through the park, up to a tree, Rory looking at Amy.

"Do you remember this tree"

She looked up and down at the tree a couple of times before looking back at Rory and smiling, "this is where we had our first kiss".

"Correct, so I thought we could have another kiss here, just for sentimental reasons, and because I love you".

She smiled more and took hold of his hands, "I love you too" she took a step towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck, starting to kiss him passionately.

A couple of minutes later Rory pulled away and smiled against her lips, "you take my breath away" he looked at her and took a deep breath. "There is another reason why I brought you here".

"You mean it wasn't just to make out under my favourite tree?"

He laughed "not quite".

She looked at him and smiled, "okay, I'm listening".

"I love you more than anything, this past year has been so so difficult, for both of us, and I need to feel that special connection with you again, what I want more than anything is for you to be my wife, and I know you said you weren't ready, so this isn't a proposal, it's a promise, I want you to promise me, that one day, you will be my wife again" He took a small box out of his hand and opened it, showing a ring, "Amy, will you promise to be my wife again one day?"

She looked down at the ring, "it's beautiful, Rory" Looking up at him she smiled, "I love you more than anything" she kissed him and took the ring out the box, putting it on her ring finger, "I promise".
