Amy smiled as Rory wrapped his jacket around her shoulders, taking another chip from the packet as they walked along the beach.
"It's such a beautiful night tonight" Amy took hold of her husbands hand and kissed his cheek, "I love you"
"I love you too" he smiled and kissed her hand, "happy valentines day".

"Sorry what?"
"You've said happy Valentine's Day 26 times today".
"I can't help it, I'm just really in love with you" he smiled more, "do you want to go for a drink?"
"Sure, that sounds good".
A few minutes later they were sat in a pub having a drink, Amy stroking Rory's back.
"Rory?"
"Yeah?"
"Why did you bring me to this pub? We passed like 20 on the way here"
"You don't remember do you?"
She looked around and back at him, "no, sorry".
"Maybe this will help you remember" he stood up and went up to the singer who was taking a break and asked to borrow the guitar before getting up on to the stage and sitting on the stool, positioning the microphone. "Hey everyone, my name's Rory, a few years ago I was sat in this very pub and I looked up and there was this beautiful girl sitting a couple of tables away from me, today I am proud to call her my wife, this song was playing when we first met here, so this is for you Amy, happy Valentine's Day, I love you".
He picked up the guitar and started playing 'The Only Exception' as well as singing it, Amy tearing up as she watched him.
After he had finished the song he looked up to where Amy was sat only to see she had gone, finding her outside a couple of minutes later he went up to her, "Amy what's wrong? Did you not enjoy the song?"
"No of course I did, I loved it, it was beautiful" she wiped a couple more tears from her eyes. "It was truly amazing".
"Then why did you leave?"
"You deserve better than me, Rory, you always remember all the important details, where we met, what song was playing, I didn't have a clue until you started singing".
"Amy don't say that, you are all I deserve, you give me happiness and love and laughter" he took hold of her hands, "listen to me, I don't mind that you didn't remember, it was a pretty long time ago, what I mind is the fact that you feel I deserve better, as far as I'm concerned, there is no one better, I love you Amy".
She nodded and hugged him, "I love you too, so much".
He kissed her cheek and neck gently, smiling, "happy Valentine's Day".
She smiled as well, "28".
