There Is A Girl

There is a girl in the middle of the class
With curly long hair and skin just like glass
Her eyes are glazed over
They sparkle and shine
They say she's beautiful, and she wonders why

She sits alone at home
With long untrimmed nails
Perfect for picking her impressions without care
Her legs she keeps hidden
For she's cut, bruised, and burned
She pinched and bled out every secret of hers

She stopped eating months ago
Starts bingeing now and then
She hates her fat stomach
Fat thighs
Fat skin
She wakes in the morning with knots in her legs
Tries not to scream as she doesn't even lift her gaze

This girl now binges
Goes and eats everything
Doesn't even think, and then feels betrayed
Why would she do this?
If she wants to be skinny?
Well her plan isn't working, so why continue?
Just keep bingeing.

Dermatillomania
It haunts her everyday
She continues to keep scratching
Keeps picking away

Borderline is one thing, the leader of this all.
Her mom abused and abandoned her and left her with scars.

The ghost of what could've been a Chelsea Smile
Faded on her cheek
She cries every night
Until she falls asleep
Her limits; there's many
They all keep her safe
She wonders, "Where is he?"
And starts to feel replaced

With sadness comes depression
Depression shows her scars
20 from last night
40 from before
60 scars on one thigh
Why is it her?
Why didn't she feel it?
She used to the sting, its her new addiction.
