"We should do something, Pearl" I ssy
"We could... take a walk"
"It is Fall and the leaves are changing, it would be beautiful!" I grab my phone to take pictures of the leaves. "Let's go"
We walk out and look at the leaves. There are so many beautiful different colors that you can't see anywhere at other times. There's oranges, reds, pinks, yellows, and every color in between. It's breathtaking. Pearl barely notices anything, she must be thinking.
"Do you want to sit down, Pearl?" I ask, breaking the silence.
"Huh? Oh, sure"
We sit down. I lean my head on her shoulder. "Are you thinking about something?" I ask.
"Yeah, what if the homeworld Gems came to Earth? Would we be able to get them finally?"
"I hope. They seem horrible."
"Yeah, well, I suppose they had reasons, but they were destroying a planet with life on it. That's just... wrong"
"Well, Amethyst came from the kindergarten"
"So did Jasper"
I slowly fall asleep on Pearl's shoulder. When I wake up the sun is setting and I wonder how she stayed here for so long.
"Let's go" I say.
"Okay"
